These ones! 👇🏻
The 2020 paperback editions of six of the Dune books. I‘d buy prints of these and put them on my wall.
And it makes me so mad because I really, really don‘t like Dune. But they‘re so pretty! 😫
#SundayFunday Hope you all have an amazing day, and don‘t forget to tag me.
So, I guess my Dune journey ends with this volume. The next book is more for hardcore fans, I think, and I am quite alright with the ending we're getting here. Sure, I'm not alright with some parts, just as I didn't agree with other things in the previous books. But the story held my interest for eight long novels, and that counts for something, right?
This was my #bookspin for July and finished it 7/31/25 @TheAromaOfBooks
A So-So when compared to Frank Herbert‘s writing but as a book I enjoyed reading objectively, it‘s an entertaining, pulpy Pick. I‘d never try and convince a purist that these Brian Herbert/Anderson books are worthy of your attention or that they stand shoulder to shoulder with the originals, especially as they seem to be taking some liberties with the canon, so I‘m just doing what Litsy facilitates well and logging this read
This is a weak pick. It had its moments, but was not as good as the first book. There were times I found my mind wandering outside the pages. Still, there was enough meat on the bones to keep me going. May be a while before I go to Book 3.
I read this book slowwww, which definitely hurt my over all interest. I really liked Hayt (Aka Duncan Ghola) and Alia. Even if the jihad is clearly a speeding train of totalitarian religious authoritarianism, it‘s hard to empathize with the conspirators at all. I am not sure if I‘ll read further in the series, but I‘m happy I read this one before another movie is made. #scifi #classic #lessdrythanDuneLITERALLY
This book took me over a year to read it but well worth it. Enjoyed the tome and all its characters.

Enjoy!
Oh, this book put me in an ethical turmoil, because I didn't know what to think about it. But more and more I saw it as a What If. What if women acted like men and treated them likewise? This made the whole experience very interesting. We learn some new very interesting facts, people get eaten and I wanted to hit a specific character with his own book.
April was an easy month as I only finished one (it was a weird life month). But even if I finished more than one, I could see this still being my favorite. Recency bias made me want to pick it over Queen Hereafter but went back to the ratings and Queen was rated higher. So here we are!

Get the hype. Wanted to read this before watching the hbo movies. I‘m glad I did because it was so good. The audiobook version was well produced. Different narrators for different characters so a little easier to follow. There were times it got to be a lot, but I imagine that will make it a more in depth movie.
