Although this is based on a real life event, I didn't give real life details...I wanted to capture the sum of the scene.

I've caught the news coverage twice, and believe it was a Jacaranda that the poor woman held onto.

If a Jacaranda, it's strangely symbolic. Legend has said that this tree was blessed by a Goddess.

This Legend is in the next comment.

Then following the legend, there is an All Creator prayer. Creators Ancient and modern.

One Amazonian Legend tells about a beautiful bird named Mitu who landed on a jacaranda tree, carrying a lovely Goddess of the moon. She came to live among villagers and share Her knowledge and ethics.

When ready to leave, She adorned the Jacaranda with beautiful blooms so that every time the tree blooms, Her teachings will be remembered. She than returned to the sky worlds to be with Her soul mate, the Son of the Sun.

Our Pope Francis showed us the Power of Prayer. He always asked for Prayers, and when he needed them most, even people from different faiths Prayed for our Pope. It was a Miracle that Pope Francis recovered enough to return to the Vatican in time to celebrate Easter with us.

There are different versions of this legend, my favorites are the longer ones. I found a shorter version of the beginning from the web so I could share here for International Women's Day 2025.

I always liked the beginning, because I felt it hinted how men need to show respect to all woman... whether they recognize the woman as a Holy person or simply human.

kspenmoll Such a beautiful post and reminder. Today I was in a grocery store & tried to reach something- a man stopped & helped me. I thought he worked there so then I asked him a question. He said to me that he didn‘t work there. He was just helping me and I said how kind that was and he said to me, he tries to teach his children to be kind and I told him I was a teacher and so happy to hear that -lovely encounter. #BEhumanKIND (edited) 7mo

The Stock Market took a second-day tumble. Many are holding tariffs responsible, and as true as that may be, I am hoping that this is the beginnings of consumers finally uniting!

I just hope that consumers can continue this the whole time little t holds office...and beyond.

I'm in the UK but already making even more careful choices about what I buy, where it is manufactured (very complex arghhh) and who owns the business selling it to me. Buying local and independent and small business as much as I can. 7mo
