When Binti attends Oomza Uni, she is surrounddd by all kinda people & not so people people. There are 100s Of different types of life forms at the Uni, humanoid ones & ones that look like giant jellyfish. Or ones that look like Cousin It. You get the picture.👽🐙🚀

A book that explores and explains the various types of personality classifications. Not read.

You meet #everykindapeople in this classic! Even though I‘ve never finished it, lol. #ayupaugust

Cinfhen I‘ve only seen the show/ musical but it‘s absolutely incredible 🙌🏻♥️ 5y
squirrelbrain I read it years ago but I was probably too young to appreciate it.... should do a re-read but the length puts me off! 5y
wideeyedreader @Cinfhen I‘ve also seen the musical! I agree, it‘s amazing 5y
wideeyedreader @squirrelbrain That‘s why I haven‘t finished it yet. So...long... 5y

CrowCAH @tpixie it is. But I know I have noted the different smells of people‘s houses. I guess you could call it a thing. 5y
merelybookish I really liked this one! 5y
CrowCAH @merelybookish I agree, the four POVs offered a unique peek into life in Alaska. 5y
merelybookish @CrowCAH Yes, and there was something gentle about it 5y
tpixie @CrowCAH lol yes! But to say it aloud! Lol 😂 5y

I did manage a quick library stop yesterday to pick up a hold before I spent all day at my company picnic & made adash into the library bookstore for their 50% off sale. I scored these two books on my #TBR for just $1. 🤗I think the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu & John Waters are a diverse group & Waters apparently meets #EveryKindaPeople on his cross country hitchhiking road trip.

Cinfhen Good finds!!!! 5y
squirrelbrain Great post - and the books look good too! 5y
Tex2Flo The John Waters is IT! He has so much fun meeting people and he's just off the hook. 5y

Illuminating and thought provoking read, certainly helped me to call people out on things. Saying you are colour blind is not the answer and does not help address racism.
Totally unrelated- I had no idea Robert Palmer was from Yorkshire 🤷‍♀️ He collaborated several times with Numan in the 80s & Johnny & Mary is one of my fav songs.

squirrelbrain How funny - this is the other one I was thinking of posting! Robert Palmer was born in Batley (that‘s near the Ikea on the M621 on the way into Leeds!) 5y

Let‘s face it: aristocrats are not #EveryKindaPeople , and yet their whole world is quite fascinating to me...the power, the decadence, the death taxes (thanks, Downton Abbey for that knowledge!).

Another book I‘ve yet to read, but it‘s one I really want to get to soon...a historical look at the British aristocracy, up to the present time. #AyupAugust

squirrelbrain This sounds really interesting - stacked! 5y
Crazeedi Looks like another good book! 5y

The #everykindapeople version I know is by S Club 7, who signed my video when I had my heart transplant, hence my choice of book. #ayupaugust @squirrelbrain @Cinfhen
