This book is about the love of a child. The historical fiction details sort of just run along in the background. I just didn't love it and it took me longer than normal to read.
#BookShelfBook2021 with @TheBookHippie set in Paris and environs. But I probably wouldn't count this as being particularly French.

This book is so weird. But so good. I have no idea how this author comes up with his stories but they are definitely unique.
A man is still searching for his daughter who went missing years ago. A woman is a Foley artist in search of the perfect scream. So they're both looking for something rather elusive when their paths cross.

Walking through #grandcentral never fails to make me think of the first scene of The House of Mirth, which a professor once hilariously juxtaposed with the first scene of Gossip Girl. Xoxo.
