Redwritinghood Just finished it last night and have been mulling it over. I was very impressed with this book until about the last 50 pages and then she lost me a little. Interesting choices made by the author in terms of story structure here. 6y

While nothing alike in style, I enjoyed the juxtaposition of reading this shortly after reading Little Fires Everywhere. The relationship between Julia and Cassie brought back memories of my "defining friendship." Very quiet, enjoyable read from #indiespensible.

Hooked_on_books @JenP @Suet624 I have the advantage of proximity--I'm only about an hour and a half drive from Powell's. Should I hold off on the post for a couple of days with future shipments to avoid spoilers? (And sorry--I hadn't thought about that.) 8y

JenP @Hooked_on_books I already looked up which main book was in the order so the spoilers don't bother me. I started doing that bc for several months in a row I ended up buying the book before the subscription arrived then ending up with two copies. I guess that show what a perfect subscription.it is for me (edited) 8y

Hooked_on_books @Jokila The purple thing is a hard sided protective sleeve for the book, which they always include (the book is a signed first edition). The little booklet is an interview with the author and often some extra tidbits about the book. 8y
