This is an add-on to one of my favorite series about the village of Mitford, with collected wisdom from one of the main characters Father Tim 🩷

Someone restocked our the Little Free Library near our house and husband traded in to get this set. Wait till you see what I got. Whoever refilled it treats their books with tender loving care so we traded some of our nicest trade-ins that we have treated likewise

Father Tim and his faithful dog Barnabas return to his childhood home of Holly Springs, MS, after leaving 38 years ago. His journey is full of memories, surprises, and mysteries-profound and introspective ❤️

Father Tim Kavanagh has been asked to “come up higher” more than once. But he‘s never been asked to do the impossible—until now. The retired Episcopal priest takes on the revival of a mountain church that‘s been closed for forty years. Through it he learns the most important lesson of all: It‘s never too late—

Valentine Fun #14 - The Fun is finally about to come to an end. Only one more book to go after this one! This book is the first of the Father Tim series. I love the Mitford series and this is a branch off of that series!!! This was a community and city I fell in love with right from the start!!!

robinb I need to read this! I grew up 40 minutes from Holly Springs. 😊 7y
BookaholicNatty Thats so neat @robinb!!! Have you read the entire Mitford collection already? 7y
robinb @BookaholicNatty I have not. 😔 I‘m assuming I need to start there before getting to this? 7y
BookaholicNatty Yes I would suggest that but, let‘s see if anyone else has a suggestion to that question. Dear #Littens Should you read the Mitford series first before reading the Father Tim series? 7y

#TBRtemptation post 2! From Miss Sadie's apple pie to Puny's cornbread, Emma's pork roast to Marge's sweet tea with peppermint, here is the North Carolinian cuisine found within the many pages of Jan Karon's beloved series featuring Father Tim and his eclectic fellow townsfolk. More than 150 recipes from the books and the author's own recipe box. (I'm wondering about that livermush dish 😆.) #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
