I brought Ove to a brewery a few towns over for their Octoberfest. I'm sure he hates it. Not only does their menu constantly change and you never know what your going to get, but they spell their name "Kaktus Brewery" with a "k" instead of the right way with a "c". The old man will just have to get over it. #JensBooksandBrews

I'm so lucky my desk is next to the coffee machine! Not only do I get to smell and drink coffee and tea all day, but I get lots of visitors. My coworkers like it when I leave out whatever book I'm currently reading so they can browse it. More than one have read books after they saw it on my desk! #LibrarianLife #JensBooksandBrews

The Maze Runner series has been slow for me, but I like it enough that I don't want to bail on it. So I've just been taking it in small chunks during work breaks. Eventually I'll get through it!

Yay! Now that unpacking is coming along I can get to more of my books and actually do a daily photo challenge! So cartography is super fascinating and I wish I could find one of my Ottoman Empire art books that has maps but this European book on power, propaganda and art will have to do. When looking at maps in the morning always pair it with a nice dark roast coffee. It's the historian way! #somethingforsept #bookswithmaps #jensbooksandbrews

Was at a brewery for an annual fundraiser for the Albuquerque Mountain search and rescues all day. Sad to say, even though I had my book, I didn't get any reading done. Now however, it's time to relax with some much needed water and to finish this book and perhaps start another! #JensBooksandBrews

I needed something a bit more lighthearted after finishing the 5th Wave series, Girl on the Train, and Into the Wild. I've heard mixed reviews about this book from my librarian friends, but I want to give it a shot. If anything the title is awesome! #JensBooksandBrews

Dinner with the entire family..including extended, in-laws and my cousin who is more like a brother to me. Anyways, it's loud and crazy, so I ordered the "Starr Brothers Planet of the Ape-ricot" beer and pulled out my kindle. Those are French fries with a red chile gravy, cheese and green chile on top (an NM thing). #JensBooksandBrews
