An interesting tale that left me wanting more. My only concern is now that I'm hooked and once I'm finished with the next book, how much longer am I going to have to wait for Book 3?? #LitsyAtoZ #LetterN #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC6 Published 10 years ago

briski I'm going to see how long I can hold out before starting this series, for the very same reason! 😂 7y

Mehso-so

I finished this yesterday and am still torn on how I feel. Maybe it was the format that threw me off, I'm not sure. However, it was an interesting story with intriguing characters. I'm still trying to figure out who's point of view it was told from.

Creative.

Uncle Max sounds like an interesting man! I would read a whole book with him as a main character. For some reason I am picturing him as similar to Ove!

Started listening to @Liberty All the Backlist podcast (great idea, love it!) and when she mentioned this, remembered it is on my #LitsyReadingChallenge list for #LRC6 - #published2007 ! Seemed like a sign that I should finally crack it open. Here we go!

ferskner Whoa is this a new Book Riot podcast? 7y
MaureenMc @ferskner Yes, it's a short podcast that comes out on Fridays. 😊 7y
ferskner Fun! I will track it down! 7y
LauraBrook I'm catching up on All the Backlist right now! @ferskner It's the .5 episodes of the All the Books podcast, FYI. 7y
ferskner @LauraBrook Oh thanks! 7y

Up next! I've been trying to chip away at my challenges lately and this one is for the #LitsyReadingChallenge bingo - "published ten years ago". #LRC6 (and this will be # 31 for #MountTBR ??).

A 14-year-old is sent off by his mother to find his father in the midst of the Civil War - wearing the coat she sewed for him to keep him safe (blue on one side, grey on the other). I'm finding the writing terse, dark and atmospheric so far. ?

becausetrains That sounds like a good way to get shot by both sides 😳 7y
Izai.Amorim One could call it a turncoat? 😁 7y

Such a quotable series, but man these lines get me every time. So many tears, laughs, and smiles. I am still in awe of how amazing these books are for people of all ages. #litsyreadingchallenge #lrc6 #readharder2017 #task9
