2019 into 2020...these are the two books that I had in hand:
📖 When You Ask Me Where I‘m Going - a book of poetry for empowerment of lost women voices addressing “current cultural conversations including sexual assault, mental health, feminism and immigration.”
📖 Lily and the Octopus - a true-to-character pick by my irl book club. We love books about animals and their human companions.🐕💙
@BookNAround asked what‘s the last book you read in 2019 and the first book you read in 2020.
🌄 The last one I read a few pages of is tagged above. My sisters and I are taking this trip in March - our first sister trip!
🧜🏾♀️ The first one I‘m currently reading is The Seduction of the Water by Carol Goodman. Can‘t go wrong with Carol Goodman!
A good way to finish and begin a year!
The Reason You Walk by Wab Kinew finished the year off with some serious introspection. Beginning the year with Deadwood by Pete Dexter; lush story telling and characters.
Hope I am doing this right! @BookNAround
Well, I thought the tagged book would be either my last of 2019 or my first of 2020, but it was neither. I‘m still working on it (life got in the way today). Instead, last finished was Aphrodite the Beauty, in the MG Goddess Girls series (required reading from the kiddo) and first finished this year was The Spider Sapphire Mystery read-aloud with the kiddo. It wasn‘t a great start! 😬
Anyone else simultaneously reading and listening to multiple books? I both ended the year and began the year with these three books. #lastfirst
