Thought I‘d share my TBR for July.

Had to make a rule with myself to read a certain amount of books in a month and then I can buy one book. I have so many unread books that it‘s becoming a problem.

However, starting with #Replica by #LaurenOliver. I‘ve already started #SunflowersinFebruary but I couldn‘t get into it. I‘m determined to finish it though. Never leave a book unread

The cover of #ringer by #laurenoliver beautifully represents the premise of the novel. No spoilers (it is book 2!), but the key is that the parallel stories of Lyra and Gemma can be read in either order, that each complements and enriches the other. Not my favorite by the author (I‘d recommend starting with Before I Fall or the Delirium trilogy) but a compelling, engaging story nonetheless.

Another hit for me, except this time I favored Gemma's side. I felt Lyra's side got repetitive and predictable. Gemma's side kept me flipping pages and engaged better. All in all, I enjoyed this one too!

“A strange and baffling truth: that the people were supposed to know best can turn out to be like strangers, and that near strangers can feel so much like home.” Finished Replica and it totally gave me a Blade Runner feel. Yes, I geeked out a little. Definitely want to read Ringer next.
