Mehso-so

Loved the concept, and the storyline was pretty good. Predictable, but okay. The ending though... what a let down after all of the build-up.

Started this one the other night. Currently 80 pages into it, and liking it so far. Here‘s hoping it continues to resonate with me. 😁 #lostforwords

Pickpick

The first novel was good, but I never expected the second to be such a page-turner! 🤩 Two nights I've spent with this roller-coaster of intrigues, betrayals and epic disasters, unable to put the book away. I totally love McDonald's world, alien but at the same time so detailed it could be real. The only failure is wasted romantic line, the book would've been perfect without it. Can't wait to see how the trilogy ends!! #wolfmoon #McDonald

Exbrarian I have just started learning Russian and I was so pleased that I could (barely) read that cover! 4mo
Violetta @Exbrarian 👍 Russian is a difficult language to learn, so I wish you good luck with it! 4mo

#24B4Monday #summersendreadathon @Clwojick @Andrew65 @jb72 @TheReadingMermaid Right now I‘m in the middle of way too many books so I‘m hoping these readathons can help with that! I plan on finishing at least the ones pictured.

Clwojick I‘m doing the same thing! I have such a bad habit of starting multiple books, and then putting them aside. ☺️ 3 of the books I have on this readathons TBR were started over a year ago. 🙈🙈🙈 4mo

Only 6 hours so far but not too bad considering we‘ve had a somewhat busy weekend preparing for our baby girl to arrive soon. I would have loved to have spent all weekend only eating sleeping and reading but with all my other readathons adulting gets in the way. Hoping to get a couple more hours in tonight after dinner at the in-laws. #Luna however has spent the day only eating and sleeping 😹

Took a break from #24in48 to relocate my books so my husband can start refinishing the family room. The next time I move them they will be going to their brand new book shelves! 😊 #Luna is loving the book mountain we built for her to climb. 😹 #catsoflitsy

Pickpick

Low pick, with caveats. Loved the complex marriages set along mostly polyamorous lines, and the amount of detail on them the author gave us. Was less thrilled with the soap-opera style romance(s) and poor-communication plotline(s), and the godstuck powers were awfully heavy-handed. The level of sex and the 'more powers as the plot demands' reminded me a lot of the Laurell K. Hamilton books.

But, plan to continue with reading the trilogy.

esurient (I had adored those books in the 90s, or at least the first 8 or 9 of them.) 7mo
