EadieB @Andrew65 I liked this book. I liked the stories and the different people we met were very interesting. Sorry that Maeve is gone because she certainly had a unique insight into different types of people. She was a very wise person. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 I love this story of the way these people became friends. They certainly did have a positive influence on each other's lives. Talking about their problems and getting feedback gave them courage to act upon their problems. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 I would say that Gwendoline is very negative but I do agree with her brother that she is very lonely too. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 I didn't feel like Will loved Gina. He seemed all about going to Hollywood for his TV show. He should have supported Gina more. She definitely needed help with taking care of her parents. I was glad to see that Gina decided to see Matthew again. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 It seems like Nuala was right about saying nothing to her daughter. But it certainly is a hard thing to do. The parents that said too much are on the outs but Nuala gave her money and food . Not sure that was a wise thing to do especially giving money for the down-payment. Will she ever get her money back now that they are having money problems? 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 I think Agnes seems very good at her fortune teller. She pays attention to what is important in her customers lives and they keep coming back for more information from Agnes. In the end, even Melly had to agree that nice things were happening with Agnes' customers. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 It seemed as though Ella and Harry's relationship was one-sided. Ella seemed to be doing everything to take care of Harry's needs while Harry was doing absolutely nothing for Ella. Not a very healthy relationship. When Ella realized, while sitting at the bar with Greg, the author, and Harry that Harry was so preoccupied looking at himself in the mirror instead of focusing on Ella, she then decided she would go to the sales conference. 5y

Here are my picks for #MayReads. Thanks for the tag, @slategreyskies 😊

These are mostly for Litsy group reads. #PemberLittens #AgathaChristieClubR2 #OverbookedClub (not shown, Chestnut Street for #MaeveBinchyBuddyRead). Plus one for my IRL YA book club, one #BlameItOnNetflix and the tagged vintage YA book I was excited to find on #KindleUnlimited.

Andrea313 My best friend and I were *obsessed *with The Ghost Next Door as kids! Is this a re-read for you, or are you diving in for the first time? 5y
rubyslippersreads First time. 👻 5y
megnews I just watched the Unorthodox series this weekend. It was really good. 5y
LeahBergen The tagged book sounds good! And I really enjoyed Bookworm. 😄 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 I would have thought the same as Philip‘s sons did as Philip and Rona were whispering and she kissed him on the cheek. Goes to show that things sometimes are not as they seem. Shocking that the mother was the one that had an affair. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Yes that was a great and shocking twist at the end! We‘d all totally bought into the father having an affair, and Maeve set that up perfectly! 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Maeve does have a very good insight into how people react to certain situations. She was an amazing person and writer and it shows in her writing. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB She was, totally unique and knew how to tell a good story - short or long. I don‘t particularly enjoy short stories but I did enjoy this book. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 I don't care for short stories either but hers are always good! 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 Yes, Mac was very irresponsible in not caring for his son and didn‘t ever acknowledge that he had a son. I was glad the Rita put him in his place. Madame Frances didn‘t give Rita credit for all she did in the boutique and I was glad that everyone was asking about Rita. Two wrongs were definitely righted snd Mac and Madame Frances got what they deserve. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB This was a great revenge case set up, playing the long game. Used their own personalities against them! They certainly got what they deserved. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 I really loved this story! 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Me too. 5y
