A deadly race for the Vatican‘s oldest secret fuels New York Times bestseller Steve Berry‘s latest international Cotton Malone thriller.
The pope is dead. A conclave to select his replacement is about to begin. Cardinals are beginning to arrive at the Vatican, but one has fled Rome for Malta in search of a document that dates back to the 4th century and

EadieB Constantine the Great.
Former Justice Department operative, Cotton Malone, is at Lake Como, Italy, on the trail of legendary letters between Winston Churchill and Benito Mussolini that disappeared in 1945 and could re-write history. But someone else seems to be after the same letters and, when Malone obtains then loses them, he‘s plunged into a hunt that draws the attention of the legendary Knights of Malta.

EadieB This was a very good book by Steve Berry. Cotton Malone is on the trail of letters between Churchill and Mussolini. He is also interested in finding the Nostra Trinita which the Church is very interested in too. The book is about WWII history, Catholic Church history, the Knights of Malta, and the process of electing a pope and the operations of the Vatican. 1mo
EadieB The book takes us to the geography, scenery, and history of Northern Italy and the Island of Malta. The book is a bit different than the plot of his other books but has a few twists and turns to add to the enjoyment. I'm looking forward to the next installment from Steve Berry as I do like his books. If you like history then you will love to read this book. 1mo

Cute graphic novel about a couple of cats who travel together looking for something. For “story” prompt. #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick

A good read. If others or you consider yourself lacking soft skills Then this is a good book to develop it.

Stunning art, (all inspiration properly credited in the back, with author's charming detail of cats getting to play in art pieces shown in museums she herself couldn't touch 😊), sweet characters, an adventure, and a metaphor hinted at but never driven home too harshly. I loved the balance in tone. Thus my spontaneous trilogy of cat books is complete!

I‘ve been away from the internet for the past week, so here is an update on my #AugustArc Readathon. During August I have read 9 ARC books (8 on the grid plus one not on the original plan). The tagged book is the latest one which I have just finished, onto The Dark now.

I am pleased with the progress so far and thanks for @Clwojick for the prompting! Now just need to write the reviews for 8 of them. 🙈

PageShifter Several covers that look sooo good! 😍😱 2y

This is an excellent book about those left behind in London and in Malta. The title of the book is tongue in cheek since the brave were never jus on the front line
