This book was good for what it was, and I enjoyed most of it. It‘s very much a story of a woman completely devoting her life to her husband and God, sometimes to her own detriment. A few scenes where she feels guilty for wanting more from Luther were tough for my 21st century perspective. I appreciate that Katharine‘s story and work is acknowledged through this book. I‘m still most intrigued by the escape of the nuns.

This book is from my grandma‘s bookshelf. It‘s a historical fiction published in 1959 about Katharine, the runaway nun who became the wife of Martin Luther. I started the first few chapters this evening and was more entertained than I expected to be.

Such a heartbreaking book written by Trayvon‘s parents. They both chronicle their experiences of what happened leading up to & the days after he was shot. Which was a bit slow to read since it was hard to read about their loss & grief. The last half of the book was about the movement & the trial, which was frustrating to read. Trayvon Martin‘s murder continues to highlight the racial injustice in the court systems as well as the daily inequities

Cinfhen Great review! Sounds like a difficult but important book. 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I got a lot out of this emotional read too, we still do not value life in this country the way we should…and recent events have made it even sadder to me because not only do Black Lives Matter, but with the recent school shootings I swear some don‘t think children‘s lives matter either. And as much as the system in this case wanted to portray him as a troublemaker or “thug” He was just a child, literally waking to the corner store for a snack. 2y

What a powerful read so far. I‘ve been trying to read this book for months but I haven‘t been able to get past the first chapter without crying. My heart really goes out to this family and the entire black lives matter cause. This is absolutely an essential read especially during the current state of the world. Finally made it to the halfway point

#BeautifulWords Day 2: This is a #bucolic version of the fairy tale classic Cinderella. Jouanah‘s story is the Thai version of the age-old classic. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-5N0

I watched this tv show when I was 11 in the 80s. It was amazing! I loved it since the first episode. My cousin gave this book to me and enjoyed it so much. Do you like sci-fi books?
