I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

#ItTakesAllKinds #WomanFacingAway One of those books I found at a used booksale that looks interesting, still on the #TBRMountain
I have mixed feelings about this book. I found it so compelling and unsettling throughout that I was on pins and needles much of the time and couldn‘t put it down. And then, suddenly, it ended with so much left untold. I don‘t need stories to be fully resolved, but I did want more at the end of this one. Nevertheless, a pick because it was very good until the end. Thanks for putting this one on my radar @batsy !
This was a pick with the caveat that it may not be for everyone, as the writing style could be difficult. There are shifting narratives, sometimes within the same sentence, and lots of extended paragraphs of text where ideas loop back and are repeated. It‘s a story of loneliness and grief and the repeated trauma of generations. Definitely will need a reread to capture what I missed in the first reading.
I never read plays but it‘s fun! The description of the decor, the speed with which a whole plot needs to be finished within time limits. And the characters, setting and timeframe are great, especially in A Doll House. Thanks for sending me this one @CarolynM 🩷

Ambitious plans but the holidays are on their way and hopefully time to read a lot! I am reading The Rise and Fall of Great Powers but having a hard time getting the hang of it. I also started Idlewild for #LitsyToB24 which is super promising. Next will be the tagged and I also hope to read this gorgeous edition of Murakami‘s Sputnik Sweetheart.
The 5th book about Grandma and the 8 children.
This begins as the school year ends and summer starts. The children takes it in turn to look after the cow. And a new road is built through the forest and near the house in the woods.

I want to continue The Christmas Chronicles
I want to finish my listen of the tagged and I‘m thinking about maybe starting Septology 1, apparently the Norwegian audio is amazing and I should probably get to some Fosse.
I want to continue An Immense World, this is taking longer than planned but is so full of information that I don‘t want to rush it
I want to finish both The Secret of the Old Clock and Get in Trouble
