Quick Reader's Advisory moment: If you're like me and you cannot WAIT for the next Inheritance Games novel, I highly suggest The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. It's a classic youth lit mystery and won the Newberry Prize in 1979, but it holds up surprisingly well.

It's also a very difficult book to find readalikes for, so I was excited by how much Inheritance Games reminded me of it.

emtobiasz In that vein, I just finished an ARC of this one that‘s a good readalike for these two as well. Comes out this summer: 3y
Gnora @emtobiasz YES PLEASE! I will def be stacking it for my TBR! Thanks for the recommendation. :) 3y

Back on the Monday Train Litsy! And today I've got my #Top6 favorite haunted house tales. Now, technically, Hunting of Hill House should be on this list, but that's just too predictable!

Also, please note that not all of these are horror or even scary. I really do love an atmospheric, but not terrifying, spooky house story.

It's Wednesday Litsy and I hope your week is going better than mine...

My #Top6 on a theme today is my favorite nonfiction books about books and reading. So meta! Books on books on books!

Happy Monday Litsy!

I've loved cozy mysteries since before I knew exactly what the genre was. They remain some of my most favorite long-running series. These are the first books my #Top6 cozy mystery series. As you might can tell, I have a special soft spot for book and food themed settings. The Magical Bakery & Tea Shop mysteries are particularly good! Mmmmh, tea & scones. 😻

Happy Monday Litsy! Hope everyone had a great weekend. 😁

I've got a new #Top6List this morning, non-violent true crime! One of my biggest surprises when I came to work at the library was the popularity of the true crime genre. These are true crime books for people like me who can't stand all the murder and gore! They follow crimes that are often twisty, dark, and devious, but rarely get anyone killed. Enjoy!

Megabooks I‘ve read 4/6 and liked 3/4. I didn‘t like Stranger in the Woods. I‘ve added Gardner to my TBR! Thanks! 5y

A follow up to my best camp novels, these are my most favorite boarding school novels for teens. Something about the atmosphere of the boarding school and the drama! 😊 📕

Noticeably missing is Harry Potter. For some reason I don't actually consider those boarding school books. I adore Harry & his adventures, but they are a thing all in themselves.

It's summer time and there's nothing I liked better when the weather is hot than a camp novel! I'm not big on thrillers, but set yours at a summer Camp and I am THERE. Some of my favorite (or most anticipated to read) camp novels. Or, in the case of Truly Devious, boarding school novels that feel like camp novels.

My ex-boyfriend gave me this Egyptian Goddess/God stamping set which had a turquoise ink pad that I never opened for over a decade. I opened it today for the first time to stamp some stationary and the ink pad disintegrated when I pressed the stamp to it. Ha! Oh well...still cool. I'll get another ink pad for it. #Bast #Horace #Ra
