First finish for 2025. This is the second book in the Bakeshop Cozy Mystery Series (#SeriesLive2025). A good continuation of the series. A baking competition comes to Ashland, OR and Jules is talked into being a contestant. It was a fun book, and I look forward to reading more of these series.

Fictional author Nora Reilly is a special guest at a small New Hampshire town‘s festival that‘s gone nutty when a group of grocery store workers win the lottery the day before. When one goes missing and turns up injured and his girlfriend kidnapped, Nora‘s daughter/private investigator Regan and family friend Alvirah are on the case. Once again, many “chance” events culminate in a tidy resolution. I love it because I like to see how it all ⬇️

Texreader comes together to solve the crime. These Christmas stories are really well done (even if kidnapping is the crime de jour)! I read this book for #wintergames and now finally writing the review. 1d

Thank you, @CSeydel for this #WorstRead 2024 #BookBracket.

This book just wasn‘t for me and I LOVE cozy mysteries. I didn‘t like any of the characters and I just didn‘t care for the story.

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage I love this graphic. I might need to keep track of my worst books this year… 🤣 (edited) 2d

A true crime podcaster and her wife are snowed in at a Scottish hotel they'd gone to for a long weekend to rekindle their relationship. A guest falls or is pushed from a turret balcony, the first of many deaths on this less than idyllic getaway.

Great fun as a parody and a good mystery as well. The more familiar you are with Cluedo, the more puns you will appreciate. I smiled and groaned and gave the little grey cells a good workout.

CarolynM Is this still a Kobo exclusive? I started this ages ago (I love Alexis Hall) but my access to Kobo makes for uncomfortable reading so I gave up. 1d
rwmg @CarolynM As far as I know it is. I love my Kobo so I read it on that via the subscription service, Kobo Plus. 23h
