pickFirst finish for 2025. This is the second book in the Bakeshop Cozy Mystery Series (#SeriesLive2025). A good continuation of the series. A baking competition comes to Ashland, OR and Jules is talked into being a contestant. It was a fun book, and I look forward to reading more of these series.

This book just wasn‘t for me and I LOVE cozy mysteries. I didn‘t like any of the characters and I just didn‘t care for the story.
pickA true crime podcaster and her wife are snowed in at a Scottish hotel they'd gone to for a long weekend to rekindle their relationship. A guest falls or is pushed from a turret balcony, the first of many deaths on this less than idyllic getaway.
Great fun as a parody and a good mystery as well. The more familiar you are with Cluedo, the more puns you will appreciate. I smiled and groaned and gave the little grey cells a good workout.
