I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Fun book about Roald Dahl's further adventures as a young man. In Africa and as a RAF pilot in N. Africa and Greece during WW2.

@TheSpineView thanks for the tag @dabbe

1 I think the Wednesday before Labor Day
2 Oh, there‘s so many, tagged book, Old School by Tobias Wolf, Malory Towers, Gentlemen and Player, by Joanne Harris, In Memoriam, by Alice Winn, The Chalet school series, Skippy Dies by Paul Murray, I‘m sure I‘m forgetting others. I love a novel set in a school, especially an old English public school.

Care to play?

Overall this is a lovely tale, fitting of its author. There is a lot of Dahl's humour, and the narrative is wonderfully, and beautifully, imaginative.

This is a fun and enjoyable book that readers will just love the silliness of. Under the silliness is also a message of how being rude, horrible and unkind will see you pay for it in the long run and that kindness is the way to go – good will always triumph over evil.
