I did this for a middle school book club and will never again.
His characters are so vivid, especially the nefarious ones. Plot was a little strange but still interesting and always unique. Loved the author and illustrator info at the end!
This MF, is a classic Roald Dahl book to add to any library. Themes such as morality and friendship are great lessons to share with students. The Twits are the messiest and meanest people ever known. When the Muggle-Wumps and Birds join forces, its time for The Twits to finally get what they deserve. An AS would be a great use of this classic, and most information could be found on the author's website. www.roalddahl.com will supply information.
If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face...A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly...if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
I listened to this book on audio and I found that my mind wandered a lot. It was also shorter than I expected it to be. I may have to reread it at some point.
The twits are all about making everybody's lives miserable, even each other's. Both of them take it to another level when making their lives terrible. On top of all that Mr. Twit wants to own his first Upside-down monkey circus in the world. So if you like books that make people's lives unforgettably terrible. You'll like this book. The theme is The Twits and the friendship between the monkeys and the birds, and to come together to get revenge.
If #Chaos is what you crave, the whimsical work of Roald Dahl always delivers a hearty dose. 😁

Reading the Scots translation of The Twits is almost funnier than the original—and Mr. Twit‘s beard seems even MORE gross in another language 🤢
Story about Mr. & Mrs. Twits, who are grotty, disgusting, and cruel. They caged their monkeys, and catch birds to make bird pies. The monkeys soon turn rebellious and with the help of the birds, come up with a plan to ‘punish‘ the horrible couple. Not one of Dahl‘s better books, though entertaining enough. Thanks for recommending this @jenniferw88 .

Finished this one last night
Thoroughly enjoying re reading Roald Dahl classics with my little one , this page definitely resonated with us as we often speak about good thoughts, karma and being a good person 💕
I had also forgotten how stomach turning these characters are 🤢 🤣🤣
Oh The Twits. My favorite, ridiculous, evil couple that I've always loved. They are perfect in every way and are one of my favorite Roald Dahl creations, which is saying quite a bit. I can't wait until my nephew is old enough for me to share my #lovehate of the Twits with him.

It's in simple language and all, but reading this as an adult you might think about its influence on kids. However, I liked it as I was just trying to catch up with the writers I missed during my childhood.
I really enjoyed revisiting this book by Roald Dahl. He has quite an odd and interesting imagination and his writing really is a lot of fun. It was great on audio and a lot of fun to listen to as an adult.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly....if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
If a prson has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until it gets so ugly you can hardly bear to look at it.
Book 49 of 2018: The Twits
I've been MIA lately because I volunteered to be a chaperone at my kid's theater conference in Irving, TX. On the way home yesterday we stopped at my favorite Half Price Books in Dallas and I walked away with all of these for only $13. I 💜 Roald Dahl! I've given away his books to so many kids over the years, and every single time I find them on the clearance racks, I just have to bring them home.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.

🌸 The Twits by Roald Dahl was probably my favourite but I loved all his books !
🌸I can‘t think of one - there were probably loads but my memory is not good enough to remember which ones!
🌸Both but mostly private
🌸 Indoor most of the time but I do love a dog walk - 🐾🐾

Great book that still holds up! Hope someone turns it into a musical. #ThrowbackReadathon
“Mr Twit was a twit. He was born a twit. And now at the age of sixty, he was a bigger twit than ever.”
God I love this book. 💕 #ThrowbackReadathon
Are we still doing a #ThrowbackReadathon? I‘ve been preoccupied with cat stuff and haven‘t had a chance to contribute, but now I‘m hanging out in the closet with our gorgeous new sweetie pie and reading The Twits. He‘s scared, but the fact that he‘s out of his carrier and purring his head off is a great sign. #shycatsrule #catsoflitsy

A memorable and whimsy quote from Dahl.
This is the stack of library books that I picked up today for the #ThrowbackReathon 😍
I am so freaking excited! Though now that I physically have them in my possession, it's going to be hard to wait until January 25th to read them. 🙈 #mustholdback #restrainyourself
#spookyoctober #quotables This Roald Dahl quote is one of my favorites..... @Jess7
These books are so funny but Quentin Blake's illustrations just make them perfect!!! A friend recommended this to me after being appalled that I hadn't read it as a kid! I think you appreciate it more as an adult because I've DEFINITELY come across my fair share of Twits out there! A must read for any kid who is genetically predisposed to sarcasm and dark humor! 😁

Breakfast with The Twits. My twits are already in school. Did I say that? Freudian slip... I meant my ANGELS...
(No, not really... #momoftheyear)

Wickedly funny in true Roald Dahl style. A real kids (and adults) favourite.
#publishedtheyearyouwereborn seems like fun and turns out these two were among the books published in the year I was born. Thanks, universe. I get the message. 🐒
Have a good birthday @GypsyKat! #gypsykatsbirthdayweek
Roald Dahl always taught the best life lessons, everyone should always have positivism thoughts and spread positive vibes 😊
My local Sydney newspaper is doing another amazing kids literacy program where you buy the paper & for $3 you can buy a Roald Dahl book. The first day they gave away this cute little box to put them in. There's 14 to collect and I think it's a brilliant idea. They did the same with Dr Seuss last year too. Three cheers for literacy programs!💚💚💚💚💚

When I was in third grade I had a teacher who read to us for a half an hour each day after recess. Roald Dahl just happened to be her favorite and is now also one of mine. I still partially attribute this to my love of reading. #booksireadinschool #photoadaynov16
