#SummerSpecial #SummerSports My all time favorite baseball movie , no doubt! I loved the old Babe Ruth biography written by Robert Creamer, this newer one , still on #TBRMountain
Not a lot new here that hasn't been covered in other Babe Ruth biographies. Interesting insight on his agent Christy Walsh.
It was a pick. Unfortunately I did not get to finish before it became due at the library. I will finish the last two novellas when I get the chance. Sometimes a bit repetitive. It must be difficult to take a few verses/chapters from the Bible and make a full story. Fascinating read.
Started teaching this book last week. We talked patriarchy and refugees and immigrants. This week, we talk about the biblical history of immigration and the dangers that Ruth faced in the fields of Boaz. I‘m the youngest in the class. The only one under fifty. Last week was a tough crowd....praying this week they come with open minds and hearts.
My new read. My Second by Ruth Ware. I finished the woman in cabin 10 the other night and really enjoyed it. Has anyone else read this? 📚 #Ruth Ware
I thought this was good, both women‘s stories. A lot of jumping in between men‘s beds (for both Osnath and Ruth!), though not in detail, but the story was still interesting. As always, I appreciate the historical note that was added in at the end
