It‘s hard being called out on why people overshare. But this book had some good information on understanding shame and vulnerability.

Ronson looks at the phenomenon of internet shaming both in those who did some public misdeed as well as others who made dumb, insensitive jokes, and how that shaming has reverberated in the lives of the shamees. It‘s an interesting read and makes me glad I don‘t use social media outside Litsy. (It looks at events in 2012 and remains very relevant.) #ReadYourEbooks
I read this book about two weeks ago and loved it. I'll read it again within the next few months. I'm currently reading Rising Strong, also by Brene Brown. 💕😍
This is an excellent book. I love all the research on shame and vulnerability. Also how she differentiates the difference between guilt and shame. Brilliant. I think this will help me improve my relationships with family and friends. I feel I‘m daring greatly in my life and will continue to strive too. Some of her techniques when I find myself in a position when I‘ve been shame triggered will really help like all her tips for shame resilience.
Brave, worthy, honest, loving, and more. This is a great book so far, full of inspiration and words that lift my soul. 🌻✨

The principal at my school got fired, our English department chair lost that position, and the two teachers who assigned this book to AP English students got letters in their file ... #controversyoverload.
I thought this was interesting and easy to read. It is a little dated and there is much that has happened since it was written but the idea is the same. I think Ronson does a good job of being authentic and working through things well. I like how he shares criticisms against him and the way he processes those things.
Lots of wisdom. A book I'll revisit time and again. Some unforgettable nuggets. A little corny, but isn't self-help supposed to be? Kinda loses steam toward the end.
Hey Littens! I haven't been very active on here lately because I've been busy going out/exploring/socializing/ getting out of my bubble. Happy to say I've also been busy reading! Lots of posts to catch up on, starting with the tagged book. Picture of me from my most recent trip to Lake Tahoe.
