While visiting a former SAS comrade in Italy, Ben Hope is persuaded to attend a valuable gallery exhibition where a gang of criminals is seeking to steal a worthless Goya sketch. Ben is quickly drawn into a world of treachery and danger where nothing is what it seems. In the midst of secret political forces, Ben finds himself wrongly accused of the murder of an Italian politician and becomes a fugitive.

EadieB This is an action-packed page turner. It is a very well-written storyline which is very entertaining and fast-paced. It is the 6th book in the series and I look forward to reading the next one. If you like historical thrillers then I am sure you will enjoy this series. 3y

So happy that Ben Hope was able to find his lost sister, Ruth, after she had been missing for 20 years. I am enjoying these books and traveling along with Ben to the different places he visits. I‘m looking forward to the 6th book of the series, The Lost Relic, which takes us to Italy. I highly recommend this adventure and thriller series.

These books are habit-forming! 4th book this week takes us from Italy and Paris to the Nile and onto Sudanese desert. Ben opens a training center in France. He is contacted by Col Harry Paxton to help find his son Morgan‘s killer. Morgan was in search of a priceless treasure in Egypt. Ben hits a bump in the road when there is a mutual attraction with Paxton‘s new bride, Zara. This is a super-charged, heart-racing thriller. Great twist in the end!

EadieB @TheAromaofBooks Definitely makes reading fun! 4y
Andrew65 Been a habit of mine for a good few years. Waiting for the new one to be published in May. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 My library only has 1-3 so I have to order the rest. 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB That‘s a shame. I really think they should be more popular. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 Seems that they are not that popular in the US. My other library only has The Mozart one. 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB Yours is the only review on here for this book! Of course the tv series could change this. (edited) 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 That is sad too as it is a very early book of over 10 years ago. 4y

Was Mozart poisoned or did he die of rheumatic fever? Ben Hope and Leigh Llewelyn search the answer to this puzzle. Leigh‘s brother, Oliver, was writing a book researching Mozart‘s connection to Freemasonry and the fact that Mozart may have been killed by a powerful splinter group of that organization. This is an electrifying thriller which takes us from Oxford to Venice and onto Vienna to uncover the truth to this mystery. Recommended.

Nute Well, that sounds intriguing! 4y
EadieB @Nute Yes this series is very good! 4y

A quick-paced treasure hunt thriller with plenty of action & treasure codes. Ben Hope is tortured by his missing sister who disappeared under his watch. He now devotes his life to rescuing kidnapped children. He‘s been recruited to locate an ancient manuscript containing a formula to save a dying child. This trail leads Ben and Dr Roberta Ryder from Paris to ancient Cathar to find Fulcanelli‘s elixir. Very enjoyable read and reading book 2 next.

TheSpineView Sounds good! 4y

Andrew65 Great to see you got to this great series, and they only get better. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 Finally! 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB Everything that comes to those that wait and a lot of books ahead of you. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 Got to get to Peter James books next! 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB Another great series! The first book in that series got me through the period after my mother‘s funeral, will always remember that. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 It's funny how certain books remind us of certain times in our lives. 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB They certainly do that, for me certain times and also places where they have been read. 4y
EadieB @Andrew65 Can remember some of our discussions too if the book was a group read. 4y
Andrew65 @EadieB Most definitely. 4y

Day 22 - #MusicalInstrumentonCover BiblioMaynia
#TheMozartConspiracy #ScottMariani

I‘m getting ready to start this series with Book 1 The Alchemist‘s Secret.

Richryan52 I just read The Alchemist‘s Secret 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 Great! It's been on my TBR list for far too long! 5y

Richryan52 Very good but not great 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 Then the series can only get better, hopefully! 5y
Richryan52 My feelings exactly. First book is always a gamble 5y
Richryan52 I read the last one first and that made me go back. Last one was excellent! As a writer I‘m a hard marker 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 Andrew has been telling me how much he likes this series so I think I'll like it as @Andrew65 and I have similar tastes in books. 5y
Richryan52 My all time favorite is Daniel Silva 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 I like that series too and have to get back to it! 5y
Richryan52 Only downside to him are the spoilers. You have to read that series in order 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 I don't like to read out of order for that reason. 5y
Richryan52 Me either 5y
Richryan52 Are you a Sherlock Holmes fan? 5y
Andrew65 Yey! I love this series and definitely one of my favourites @EadieB @Richryan52 Series follow two routes usually for me (with odd exceptions) they get better and better as you learn more about the character and the author finds their style, or a great first book that the author then can‘t match. 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 I have not read any of his stories but I know about him and I have a pile of books that authors have wrote about Sherlock Holmes. I plan on reading them one month as I read on average 20 books a month so he is on my list. 5y
Richryan52 Hopefully this is the former 5y
Richryan52 @EadieB I have written four and my fifth is due out in October 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 Well, then I should put your books on my list. (edited) 5y
Richryan52 Search Richard T. Ryan on Amazon or on here 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 I somehow feel that I need to read Conan Doyle's books first as a foundation. 5y
Richryan52 Always a good idea 5y
EadieB @Richryan52 Sherlock books are on the 1001 books you should read before you die list and I have read about 300 of those so that would be a good place to start. 5y
