The Mozart Conspiracy
The Mozart Conspiracy: A Novel | Scott Mariani
8 posts | 8 read | 7 to read
A centuries-old mystery. An accidental death. A conspiracy that may end in murder. Former British Special Air Service officer Ben Hope is running for his life. Enlisted by Leigh Llewellynthe beautiful, world-famous opera star and Bens first loveto investigate her brother, Olivers, mysterious death, Ben finds himself caught up in a puzzle dating back to the 1700s. At the time of his death, Oliver was working on a new book about Mozart. Though the official report states that Oliver died in a tragic accident, the facts dont add up. But as Ben and Leigh dig deeper, they find that Olivers research reveals that Mozart, a notable Freemason, may have been killed by a shadowy and powerful splinter group of the organization. The only proof lies in a missing letter, believed to have been written by Mozart himself. When Leigh and Ben receive a video documenting a ritual sacrifice performed by hooded men, they realize that the sect is still in existence today and will stop at nothing to keep its secrets. From the dreaming spires of Oxford and Venices labyrinthine canals to the majestic architecture of Vienna, Ben and Leigh must race across Europe to uncover the truth behind the Mozart conspiracy before they become its next victims. In the tradition of Robert Ludlum and Dan Brown, Scott Marianis The Mozart Conspiracy is an electrifying thriller and the start of an exciting new series.

Pickpick

Was Mozart poisoned or did he die of rheumatic fever? Ben Hope and Leigh Llewelyn search the answer to this puzzle. Leigh‘s brother, Oliver, was writing a book researching Mozart‘s connection to Freemasonry and the fact that Mozart may have been killed by a powerful splinter group of that organization. This is an electrifying thriller which takes us from Oxford to Venice and onto Vienna to uncover the truth to this mystery. Recommended.

Good all action thriller 👍🏻 like reading some episodes of 24!
#seriesread2021

JenReadsAlot Oh I loved 24! 4y
TrishB @JenReadsAlot similar sort of action levels and double crossing and never knowing who the baddies are! Not Kiefer but you can always use your imagination! 4y
jenniferw88 I think I've got you hooked 😂! It's ages since I read any of this series. X 4y
TrishB @jenniferw88 most definitely! I always like to have a newish series on hand I know I can rely on!! 4y

Day 22 - #MusicalInstrumentonCover BiblioMaynia
#TheMozartConspiracy #ScottMariani

I‘m getting ready to start this series with Book 1 The Alchemist‘s Secret.

Richryan52 I just read The Alchemist‘s Secret 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 Great! It's been on my TBR list for far too long! 4y
OriginalCyn620 👍🏻📚🎹 4y

Richryan52 Very good but not great 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 Then the series can only get better, hopefully! 4y
Richryan52 My feelings exactly. First book is always a gamble 4y
Richryan52 I read the last one first and that made me go back. Last one was excellent! As a writer I‘m a hard marker 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 Andrew has been telling me how much he likes this series so I think I'll like it as @Andrew65 and I have similar tastes in books. 4y
Richryan52 My all time favorite is Daniel Silva 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 I like that series too and have to get back to it! 4y
Richryan52 Only downside to him are the spoilers. You have to read that series in order 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 I don't like to read out of order for that reason. 4y
Richryan52 Me either 4y
Richryan52 Are you a Sherlock Holmes fan? 4y
Andrew65 Yey! I love this series and definitely one of my favourites @EadieB @Richryan52 Series follow two routes usually for me (with odd exceptions) they get better and better as you learn more about the character and the author finds their style, or a great first book that the author then can‘t match. 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 I have not read any of his stories but I know about him and I have a pile of books that authors have wrote about Sherlock Holmes. I plan on reading them one month as I read on average 20 books a month so he is on my list. 4y
Richryan52 Hopefully this is the former 4y
Richryan52 @EadieB I have written four and my fifth is due out in October 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 Well, then I should put your books on my list. (edited) 4y
Richryan52 Search Richard T. Ryan on Amazon or on here 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 I somehow feel that I need to read Conan Doyle's books first as a foundation. 4y
Richryan52 Always a good idea 4y
EadieB @Richryan52 Sherlock books are on the 1001 books you should read before you die list and I have read about 300 of those so that would be a good place to start. 4y

Wow, 6 weeks has gone fast! I'm really happy that I met my book target even in the midst of changing jobs, moving countries, and lots of family fun times. I'm a little disappointed in the fitness side of things but I think I was maybe a little too ambitious with my targets what with life and heatwaves!

Megabooks Congratulations! 🥳🥳📚 5y
mcipher You did a great job - I mean, keeping up the effort and sticking with it (and modifying to fit your life) for 6 weeks is a challenge in itself, let alone with moving and everything! 5y
wanderinglynn Way to go! 🙌 A fantastic week considering all the life happenings you have going on! 🎉 5y

twohectobooks Great job! Good luck with your additional upcoming move! 5y
BeckyandBooks You did great! We had some pretty intense heat here in CA too, it makes it really hard to get out and moving! 5y
okthislooksbad You did great - even with a bunch of stuff taking up your time (and the weather being a meanie)! Good luck with the move! 💃💃 5y

Ok, rant time. I HATE it when authors write shit like this 😡 no one NEEDS to wear make up and saying otherwise is a dick move. Ugh.

Centique My current read keeps saying this kind of thing too and it‘s annoying in an otherwise great book 5y
twohectobooks Yep, it‘s so lazy and ignores the complexity of so many people‘s feelings about makeup! 5y
Megabooks Totally agree!! 5y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian Agreed. Also, if this is from a man's perspective, I would bet she could be wearing makeup and is good at making it look like she's not! Most men don't know anything about makeup anyway! 5y

@Andrew65 has been saying this series is too good to pass on, so I bought the first two books. The first one is still in the post office, but will pick it up tomorrow. Can‘t wait to start reading 🙂 Andrew, doesn‘t it look like a male version of the Frieda Klein series, based on the cover? 🤣

Andrew65 It does but a very different animal altogether. I love Ben Hope. Rather envious of you being at the start of this great series. I‘m currently waiting to lay my hands on book 18 which was published here last month. I have recommended this to @EadieB (edited) 6y
Tove_Reads @Andrew65 It‘s so fantastic to know there‘ll be many books ahead! I will also pick up Ann Cleeve‘s Shetland series 🙂 6y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Another fantastic series! But only eight this time and now all published! 6y

Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Book 19 for Ben Hope comes out in May. 6y
Tove_Reads @andrew65 May the force be with me to finish 18 before that 🤣 6y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Now that would be an achievement! (edited) 6y

How about The Mozart Conspiracy for #MusicalTitles. This is book 2 in the Ben Hope Series by Scott Mariani, if anyone likes thriller / action books with a historical backdrop to the adventure I strongly recommend this series. Ben Hope is one of my favourite characters.

nickimags What's Bookout, is it an App? 8y
Andrew65 Yes it is an App which I found out about from someone else on Litsy, which amongst other things records % through book, reading speed and how long till you finished the book which is useful for planning reading if I wasn't to finish a book. You can also set monthly and yearly targets. http://bookoutapp.com @nickimags (edited) 8y
