Pickpick

Bk10 of my #MarchUnshelfing #challenge is done. Wow. This is not just the best Bosch I‘ve read,I think it‘s the best L.A crime noir novel I‘ve read too. That ending was fantastic. You know when a book is so good you see it in your head like a movie with sound & music?Or is that just me. Highly recommend this one. #Booked2020 #SetInHollywood #LitsyAtoZ2020 #LetterA #PopSugar20 #SetInACityThatHostedTheOlympics #MountTBR2020 #Bk10 #BeatTheBacklist2020

julesG Your Kobo looks tiny. I should get back to the Harry Bosch series. You don't have any idea where I can get more reading time, or a 48 hour day? 😉 5y
Lizpixie @julesG I think it‘s just my big man hands!🖐 Don‘t worry, the way things are going we‘ll all be quarantined for weeks with nothing to do but read🦠😷 5y
julesG I doubt your hands are that large. I have large hands, for a woman, they have been compared to table tennis rackets or toilet lids. 🙄🙄🙄 Just checked, the Kobo is a bit smaller than the Kindle. Don't remind me of the lock-down. No school for 5 weeks (including 2 weeks Easter holidays), I'll look like a zombie at the end of this. 5y
MicheleinPhilly The season of Bosch that covered this one was excellent. I mean, I love them all but this was really good. Although when I was reading/watching I kept thinking about the 2 years I spent working in downtown L.A. That trolley car was not present then and I had to hoof it up and down those steps every day. 🥵 5y
intothehallofbooks I agree with @MicheleinPhilly - this particular season of Bosch was so excellent!! 5y

Mehso-so

While it highlights a dark and sad period in France‘s history during WWll (that I definitely want to read more about), I found this book to be just okay. The writing was simple and character development shallow, and not at all the tear jerker I was expecting (and hoping!) it would be. ⭐️⭐️ #Booked2020 #FinishInADay #ReadingEurope2020 #France 🇫🇷#LitsyAtoZ #abecedarianTBR #S #PopSugar2020 #SetInACityThatHostedTheOlympics #Paris

Come-read-with-me I had the same reaction to the book. The story wasn‘t bad but it could have been so much more - more poignant, more tender, and of course more teary! 5y
Librarybelle I‘ll be reading this one soon for one of my book groups. Good choice! 5y
BarbaraTheBibliophage Good job—even if it wasn‘t that great. ♥️📚👊🏻 5y
Cinfhen This book left me weeping/ but I totally get what you‘re saying about the writing!! I‘ve tried to read a few others by the author and I couldn‘t get through any of them 😜 5y
