Told you I was whizzing through this! Kaufman & Kristoff are geniuses at making me turn pages and suck me into the story! The last line, “You wanna know how it ends?” Hell yeah! The Inheritance Games reminds me of The Seven Sisters but on a YA level. There are 4 brothers and their grandfather left his huge fortune to a girl they‘ve never heard of along with a puzzle. There are clues all around, danger, and love triangles. Just as one puzzle is solved, another is discovered eventually leading to the next book. What can I say about this book? So appropriate that I finished it during Black History Month. The story it tells is so compelling and it makes me feel that the mind of the author must have been so full of urgency to write this tragic tale. Listened to this book today. It was refreshing. It‘s about a couple of rebel seniors (senior citizens) down on their luck who find others in the same situation and do something about it. The narrator was excellent and the book was quirky and fun. Looking up book 2. If you like historical fiction and tales of Great Britain‘s part in WWII, this book is for you. I got so involved with the characters that I had to look them up to see which ones were based on real people. Turns out many of them are! Going to look for more books by Kate Quinn! This is my choice for the #BOOKED2021 prompt: #COVIDHEROES. As a fan of Grey‘s Anatomy and with much respect for doctors and nurses, especially right now, I liked it a lot. It was irreverent in places but definitely portrayed the long hours, weird injuries, and the relationship things a doctor misses because he/she cares about his/her patients. I read Alice‘s Adventures in Wonderland back in 2018, so I decided to listen to it this time. I discovered a great little audiobook on Hoopla.
