I‘ve had this on my TBR for a while after reading Dear Committee Members a few years ago. This is satire but still familiar to anyone who has worked in higher ed or who has traveled with a group. I really enjoyed it! The MC is just a grumpy as before but he becomes more endearing as this one goes on. #JumpStartSummer

Since back to school season is upon us, I thought I‘d highlight my favorite books featuring professors
👩‍🏫✏️🎓📓📝
All of these are humorous, have heart and won‘t bring you any “back to school blues” 👍

LiteraryinPA Fun idea! And also, I didn‘t know Julie S had a third book! 10mo
Aims42 @LiteraryinLawrence Yep! The hardcover came out last August and the paperback was just published at the end of July this year, so very new for that edition 🙌 10mo

Adorable premise (there‘s a magical twist) but the story was executed poorly. I didn‘t fall in love with the characters and hated the heroine‘s family. And not in a good way. In an author-took-this-too-far-and-they‘re-toxic kind of way.

This was wasn‘t the best book I‘ve ever read, but it was entertaining. The romance was predictable but sweet and I really enjoyed the narration, especially in the second half. My main complaint is that all of the unnecessary clothing descriptions and pop culture referenced pulled me out of the story.

I loved the book .It show many of 20years old girls life. However Why do people keep writing about main characters crushing on boys with girlfriends? I like the book but that little tid bit reeks of so much desperation. However, once you get to the best part it‘s an amazing read. I couldn‘t put it down once they went back. It was the best plot twist and just..so amazing. Is all I can really say. I loved it so much.

Mehso-so

My favorite part of this book is the multitudes of travel locations mentioned and well described throughout the story. A lot of the places were old travel locations of mine so it made me quite nostalgic. I did have the hardest time understanding what was the point of this book in the first half since it didn't seem like it had a plot. I only started understanding after the magical element halfway through the book. (Which is just weird).

Halfway through the book and WHAT‘S WITH THAT PLOT TWIST! Honestly was not expecting a magical element at this point in the story.

I tried to like this book but it was a bit too slow-moving for me. Also, for a 20y/o, the MC was so naive and inexperienced, bordering on whiny. Which might be fine, but there was no explanation or hints as to why she was that way.

TheAromaofBooks I really struggle when the MC is a whiner! 5y

I'm so happy that we've had so many lost authors who have found their destinations!
