I don‘t join the swaps necessarily for the receiving because I understand my book habits are so picky, I just love sharing books 😁 that said, I love the Caravel set, the motivation to buy a bookcase is unbelievable! 5y

MoonWitch94 @Twainy My local post office cut their hours by half last month, as well as staffing. So it‘s very slow. And so I decided to use Amazon for this swap, BUT, I didn‘t realize I bought your set from a bookstore on Amazon, not Amazon. So that‘s why it was so delayed 🤦🏻‍♀️ 5y

So I wasn‘t sure on how this all worked or what to do! I‘ve done a couple of swaps and have always received something in return! But I never received my #summerfunswap and was just curious if this happens a lot or not! It‘s not that big of a deal but I don‘t want to do more and have the same thing happen! I emailed the person that sent me my match. So am hoping to hear back!! Thanks for any info!!

wanderinglynn No, that‘s not the norm. It is unusual for the swap host to completely disappear and fail to ensure the swap works. I‘m sorry you had a poor experience with that one. And I hope #HauntedHollowSwap provides you a better experience. 5y

KaylaD @Deifio I didn‘t think about it doing that until earlier today when I was looking through my emails. I emailed her right away wishing I‘d thought about it earlier! 😬 So I‘m just waiting to see if she replies. And when I went back to look at the swap page thing the person doesn‘t have a litsy page anymore! Which I thought was weird! But it is what it‘s is!! 5y

KaylaD @wanderinglynn this was the first swap that this has happened! Yes I‘m a little disappointed but it won‘t stop me from doing other swaps! I‘m like a little kid with with!! It‘s so exciting and I love doing them! Can‘t let one bad experience ruin the other ones!! I‘m excited for the #hauntedHollowSwap I did one last year!! Super fun!! 5y

Deifio @KaylaD that is really weird! Glad this doesn't turn you off swaps. I love them too, but unfortunately I can't send packages to the US at the moment, covid restrictions. So I'm not doing any this year I guess 5y

LibrarianRyan There have been quite a few problems with this swap. The host has ghosted and appeared to have least once changed her screen name. You are not the only person. It wasn‘t me but I was looking into it after comments reached me about the #swapprimer. She allowed so many people on the black list to participate and then ghosted herself. It‘s just a shame. I promise. The swap I know that are currently going on are great and won‘t let that happen. 5y

KaylaD Yeah @LibrarianRyan I thought something was a little fishy when I went to look at what the # was and seen that she had deleted her account!! I‘m not mad just a little bummed! I‘ve done 5 or 6 swaps and this was the fist one that I didn‘t receive one back!! But that‘s ok I‘m already signed up for more!!!! ❤️ 5y

So the USPS assured me that both of my boxes would arrive by yesterday when I mailed them Monday morning (I annoyingly asked several times) or I would have paid more for expedited shipping. They gave me daily updates saying the boxes were on time. That all changed last night. I just checked now - still running late. I‘m so sorry & disappointed. 😫🥺

Twainy I‘d just like to say that I‘ve been super busy but the week we got the swap buddy info I spent time investigating then had to shop and once I had everything & boxed it ... I showed up at the USPS before work 8/8 ... how did someone get their box 3 weeks ago LOL even if I‘d mailed the boxes the day I got the email they wouldn‘t have been there 3 weeks ago. 😆 Not complaining. Still feel horrible. 😢 5y

Twainy @coffeewithbooks apparently the USPS hasn‘t heard enough from me. They were mailed at the same time! One was 3 pounds and the books were heavier like 7 pounds. I‘m generally patient but the update on the second box hasn‘t changed in 3 days. 🤨 I‘m glad you got one of them .... but .... off to call the Postmaster :) 5y

Thank you Erika for the #SummerFunSwap hope I picked the right day to open. I didn't see your #Litsy handle. That #swap was a wild one. Felt like an FBI type secret society, Litsy members dissapeared, received packages from unknown members. 🤣

timeisfleeting Yes, I was teamed up with @LaurenAshley. I tried emailing 3 times, but I was told it was “undeliverable“. So I tried to contact on here, to no avail. 5y

timeisfleeting Wow, well how convenient that she suddenly is gone. It is ok. A lovely box with some books & goodies arrived from @KaylaD today. I will post pictures soon (I am expecting an upgraded phone to arrive this week sometime), so when it does-- those will be shared. : ) It felt like Christmas! I was sooooo surprised! sharread @timeisfleeting I know she dissapeared along with one other one Litsy should inform people of scams like this, I'm not joining any swap here since it seems there is fraud going on. Her email has been deleted so that tells me she probably illegally getting personal info. Creepy. 5y

Chrissyreadit @sharread @timeisfleeting I am mad I shared her info about the swap. My rule of thumb is to join swaps hosted by people who have been active on litsy for over a year and have participated in swaps too. It stinks when someone ruins a good thing. 5y
