So the USPS assured me that both of my boxes would arrive by yesterday when I mailed them Monday morning (I annoyingly asked several times) or I would have paid more for expedited shipping. They gave me daily updates saying the boxes were on time. That all changed last night. I just checked now - still running late. I‘m so sorry & disappointed. 😫🥺
Ten books read from the Modern Mrs Darcy list (some of the older ones I had read prior to the list coming out. Working on The Jane Austen Society now.
1. I think there‘s still plenty of summer left, and I‘m not ready for it to be over anyway. (But I did buy some pumpkin coffee that was on sale.)
2. Red Bones, Babel, The Henna Artist. Enjoying them all!
#thoughtfulthursday
My #readinglater stack is a bit out of control, mainly because I have grown out of my current bookshelves. So, I have 2 stacks-I take one off this stack & put it on the other after I‘ve read it. This stack started around last Nov. The other 3 pictured are my #readingnow books. #summerfunbucketlist #summerfun @StayCurious @4thhouseontheleft
Thank you @rsteve388 and @AnotherMissBennet for the the tags and @MoonWitch94 for the questions.
🥭 Mangoes. I am obsessed with mangoes and can eat them at any time of the day or night. I miss them in the US.
📚 I had to Google and realized that I haven‘t read many books set in summer.
🐳 I saw dolphins ages ago as a child. Absolutely enjoyed it ❤️
If you haven‘t played, consider yourself tagged.
1. Because weather is so hot in PR in summer, I love to put my fruits in the refrigerator to eat them cold. I love blueberries, mango and pineapple😋 2.This year I only read few books set in summer, didn't love them, but I enjoyed them: Winter in Paradise & Hide Tide Books. Excited to read The shell Seekers. 3. Only in Disney but I have seen manatees in Condado lagoon which I visit frequently since I use to run in that area. Thanks @Chrissyreadit
Thanks to @Cinfhen for posting this - like you, I'll hop in late & use my June & July reads retroactively. Don't know that I'll finish this one - kinda been on a mystery binge recently! 🤷🏻♀️ #popsummer2020
My updates for #summerfun and #summerfunjr
I‘m close to a bingo for my “adult” board and I‘ve already got on for middle grade, with another two really close! I haven‘t been super active on here in terms of posting reviews but I‘m hoping to get back into it!
#summerfun update: Finished one book and read a magazine. I didn‘t realize a book could be used in more than one square, so I‘ve done some updating.
Call Me By Your Name: summer romance & book to movie
Year One: I usually avoid post apocalyptic books but this one had magic and was highly recommended
Party of Two: Summer Reading Guide
Bingo!
An update on my #summerfun bingo card. Soul drifter had been on my tbr for a little over 6 months. One of Us is Next has some baseball scenes so I used that for the Olympics that never were. Lastly, I got a few minutes of reading in while on the boat this past week! Getting so close to a bingo!
Wow! June was a really good reading month! 27 books read! Lots of 5 and 4 stars! Only a few 1 or 2 stars. Favorites: The Rhino Conspiracy and The Bloomsday Dead. Half of the books are part of series, so I‘ve finished a few and furthered many! 😍
Would love to know!
#NWC #PLC #TBRCrew #NewYear_NewYou #CrimeADay
#SummerFunBingo @4thhouseontheleft @StayCurious I have a bingo.
An old favorite - Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh
Summer Wedding - Cancer Vixen
Read a visual - They Called us Enemy
Coming of Age - The Woman Warrior
Genre I avoid - graphic novels

I've got a few books with fire in the title or on the cover. It seemed to be the easiest prompt to fill for #ReadYourSign #Sagittarius @Clwojick @Meaw_catlady
Thanks for the tag @JaclynW
1. Hopefully visiting my parents in PA & my grandma in NY. I'm in NJ, so I'm more or less waiting for them to feel comfortable for me to visit. I also told my BF we'll have to do some urban exploring on foot in neighboring towns.
2. I enjoy reading outside but don't really have a spot to do so. I might try a blanket on the library lawn next door to see how that goes.
Tag anyone left
#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView
1. Kayaking! Just being outside, water is a bonus❤️☀️🚣
2. Yes, I will be outside reading every chance I get, even on a hot day I can throw up an umbrella and read. I can feel an attitude change already with a few nice days!

Anybody working on a #SummerBookBingo for this summer? Would you tag me please? I‘m up for one - and it is summer!
I‘m going to participate in #15books15weeks. It looks like there are only 12 books, but the Binti book is the whole trilogy, so 3 books, and the pigeon will bring three books with my MyTBR subscription in June.
That is the funniest thing I have ever seen! Thanks for the laugh @Ronda !
Safe from Coronavirus, but let me see if I can grab some skin cancer!
And the butts hanging out the window, 🙈🤣

Completed my 6 books for #booked2019 summer. Went with a kids‘ book for the graphic novel...I still find this to be a challenging category for me to enjoy. I do recommend this series for middle grade readers. Absolutely loved Miracle Creek. @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft

Congrats on 50K! #50kcelebration #giveaway50k my favourite childhood summer memories are camping with family, I have a very big family and we do big camping reunions every couple years and those were always my favourite! @Crazeedi
Congrats @Crazeedi on 50k! 🎉🎉🎉
My favorite summer memory is the year of The Great Video Game Tournament. My 2 sisters, parents, 2 uncles, and me spent the summer swimming in the pool and having an Atari tournament. We had leaderboards posted on the fridge. I won Superman and skiing. We also played Kaboom and bowling.
