A minor ode to cake. For a book about happiness, it makes you happy to just sit and read (or even better, listen to). The author is a delight to listen to as he reads his own words, especially when he talks about cake. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. 🎂🍰🧁🥮🧡🧡

GingerAntics @5feet.of.fury pretty much… of course it sounds different when a native English speaker says those sounds together and when a Danish or Norwegian native speaker says them. The emphasis is on the OO and the a is almost a ghost of a sound, but yeah. 2mo

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie mine still technically works… I think. The light bulb went out, so I replaced it and it still didn‘t work. So I got all new bulbs. None of them worked. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Mine is only 4 years old I think, but man I used that thing every day and how am I supposed to sleep now?! It was the light I put on before I went to bed. 2mo

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie I would just like to update. The lamp I got (pictured) is adorable and perfect. The lightbulbs (also pictured) are not amber until you turn them on, and they are so bright they are not hyggely at all. 2mo

I‘m sorry. I don‘t understand this concept. I‘m 38, almost 39, and I am still not convinced my parents even “like” me. I‘m pretty sure “love” is more a sense of obligation. That usually comes just before the words “I need you or I‘ll have to go into a home.”
