pickA minor ode to cake. For a book about happiness, it makes you happy to just sit and read (or even better, listen to). The author is a delight to listen to as he reads his own words, especially when he talks about cake. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. 🎂🍰🧁🥮🧡🧡

I‘ve been away from Litsy for two years and could not believe it had been so long when I just logged in and checked my last post. Reading fell by the wayside as I went through what I suppose is semi-retirement due to health stuff. I have no idea what I‘ve filled my time with, but it hasn‘t been productive in any meaningful way. I‘m okay though. I think.

I finally gave myself permission to sit in bed & read while waiting on my husband to wake up. Normally I go sit on the couch or dining room table, in fear that I might fall asleep if I stay in bed.
