pickManaged to finish this book today. Not at all what I expected - I always assumed the secrets of Peyton Place were petty & tawdry BUT this was a whole different can of worms!!! I can imagine the scandal this book caused in the 1950s similar to the scandal To Kill A MockingBird must have caused. Fabulous characters who felt like real neighbors you‘d meet walking down Elm Street. Kudos to the author for making this book feel modern 60 years later.
