#top25of2025 part 2 in no order. I‘d have a hard time picking my favorite of the year because I learned something new/different with each book. I gravitate more towards NF to learn more about others people‘s stories & histories.

ChaoticMissAdventures Great list! Some of these have also been on my top lists the last couple of years. I have Madness waiting for me at the library and am eager to get to it. 4d

#top25of2025 I divided it up between fiction & NF. These were my favorite fiction books of the year. I generally read more NF & I read some good fiction but these were my standouts for the year.

Deblovestoread I started The Lilac People yesterday. Every time I think I‘m done with WWII books a new piece of that history presents itself. Grateful for this #AuldLangSpine recommendation 4d
AnnCrystal I'm about halfway through, Council of the Dolls right now 📚💝. 4d

ncsufoxes @Deblovestoread I feel the same way, I feel like I can‘t read one more book about WWII. Then I found The Lilac People & learned about another whole portion of history I knew nothing about. It‘s a bit of a heartbreaker but happy to have stumbled upon it. I hope you enjoy it. 4d
ncsufoxes @AnnCrystal I don‘t know how I came across Council of Dolls but it‘s such a unique & interesting story. I have really enjoyed learning more about parts of history that I was not fully taught in school. They are not necessarily happy stories but so full of depth. I hope you are enjoying it. 4d
AnnCrystal @ncsufoxes it is really important that these stories are finally having a chance to be told by authors from Native Country. I'm finding this a bit difficult, yet the mystical surrealism of the dolls adds a fascinating intrigue to help these serious stories unfold. Do love the interlocking storytelling. 💝📚💝. 3d
CarolynM Some great choices. I loved Greta & Valdin and I‘m determined to get to Deep Cuts this year. 2d

These 14 books ranked 4.25 and 4.5 🌟
