This retired English teacher's score sucked! 😂 Though the 17 books I did read were not from childhood but from my years teaching middle school. My 3 choices are for the following reasons:
JOHNNY TREMAIN: #love
OUT OF THE DUST: #lovetoinfinity--in my top 5 list of fave books of all time!
CHARLOTTE'S WEB: Only an Honor winner? #wtf?

Les Miserables: (penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) | Victor Hugo

Succumbed and on New Year‘s Day decided to join the Buddy Read of Les Miserables. #ReadLesMes. Let‘s hope I don‘t regret joking this year long Buddy Read. 😳

Read the first bit in the early hours so think I‘ve met the first 3 or 4 characters. We possible need a link to the characters as they are introduced, so we can keep them right.

What I find strange is how it says he was Bishop of D______. I wonder why he did it like this.

Ruthiella You can do it! Reading these super long books with a group is so helpful, IMO. Just have patience for the seemingly interminable parts about the Battle of Waterloo, French religious orders and the Paris sewer system, etc. 3w

TheBookHippie @Cuilin oh yeah, my penguin I had to break the spine or it happened naturally. It‘s fairly beat up from my year with it. I do love it so. It kept me sane in 2020. 3w

2. My niece-kitten loved her toy from Santa Paws.
3. Beautiful sunsets this week and highs in the (gasp) 60s!
4. A quiet, low-key Christmas with our dear friend Ann and her greyhound Phoebe (opening her Lamp Chop from Santa Paws).
5. Kate & Pippa opening their gifts from Santa Paws. Matt ... always.
