I‘ve read 33 of 104. Favorites: The Eyes and the Impossible, The Last Cuentista, and The Girl Who Drank the Moon!

It is interesting to think about which books have stood the test of time and which haven‘t!

This was an emotional read for me! I was in 4th grade in Florida when it happened. My class stepped outside to watch so I saw the explosion live in the sky. And in hindsight there were so many reasons to not launch that day 😔 The story was well told by the author.

This is a self-published middle grade book my friend wrote for his sons- I wasn‘t sure what to expect but turns out I was very impressed! Recommend for fans of The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen.

I read a lot of mediocre middle grade this year (for an award committee), but there were some great ones too!

Low pick for this #authoramonth book. This was my second Tana French book and I think I can safely say she is not for me. I liked the mystery, but her characters are very unlikable to me. Not terrible, but so much else out there that I enjoy more!
