I apologize—I should have posted this sooner! Zeke is going through another rough patch & has an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday. I picked up more meds for him from the vet today. I‘m not as consistent keeping up with everything else. 😂

CatLass007 I‘m so sorry that Zeke is still ailing. It‘s hard when it‘s our fur babies or our biological babies to be sick. We feel worse emotionally than they do because we‘re completely helpless. I hope today is a better day for both of you. 2d

This is my first Kate Quinn novel and I enjoyed every minute of it. I liked how each chapter was used to develop a character and gradually revealed how their lives intertwined. I also liked how every time I thought I had a connection figured out it changed. Seeing the characters become a chosen family of sorts and how challenges brought them together was refreshing. Definitely recommend.

As a #longtimefed I worked in a total of seven different buildings. I saw on Bluesky this morning that the current regime has offered hundreds of federal buildings for sale, about a third of them in the Washington DC area.

You would think a real estate genius would know that selling multiple properties at once, when the agency managing those properties has had its staff cut, might not bring the highest price? Or maybe that‘s not the goal?

Susanita @kspenmoll In “normal” times I would be in favor of selling excess and repurposing the buildings. This happened to the sixth building where I worked, and it made sense. However, these are not normal times. 😒 3w

ImperfectCJ It's possible that it's by design...lower the prices so a handful of wealthy investors can buy up the real estate. It's a stated goal of the administration (via its unelected representative) to privatize as much of the government as possible, and it's in line with the Russian model for oligarchs to gather up all they can at prices engineered to be low by intentionally flooding/crashing the market. A good time to re-read the tagged.

Lcsmcat 😡My husband played at the Kennedy Center regularly in the 80s and we‘ve been watching this in anger, trying to stay above despair. Call your congress people - even if you don‘t think they care. At least we can try to stop this descent into fascism. 1mo

TieDyeDude I'm not surprised. He cried about liberal BS and refused to attend the Kennedy Center Honors during his first term. I've already gotten emails from Low Cut Connie, Ben Folds, and others withdrawing from the organization and/or cancelling performances. I was just watching highlights from Gene Kelly's and Sammy Davis Jr.'s inductions on YouTube a couple weeks ago... 1mo
