Bailedbailed

I tried y'all but I couldn't. I just couldn't. This book was so slow and boring I bailed. I'm disappointed in myself. 😔

suvata IKR! I feel disappointed too when I can't finish a book. It's like, "what's wrong with me that I can't hang in there." 7y
EchoLogical @suvata I really wanted to read it for work but the more I read, the less interested I became so I threw in the towel. 7y
suvata @EchoLogical sometimes, that's the only thing you can do. 7y

1. Found this guy back in June while on vacay in the Bahamas
2. Does chocolate count as comfort food???
3. Well the Bahamas was my top pick only because Paris seems too expensive but my husband thinks we can swing it!
4. Reading the tagged book, The Great American Whatever
5. No preference, I'll read whatever I can get

That moment when an author uses the title of the book in the story... 👍

A snap of last week's library haul which included a little something for everyone: a Teen Top Ten nominee for me, lots of action in A Torch Against the Night for my husband, and the rest for my kiddo.
The Killling Jar featured an #usualnarrator in its main character, Kenna Marsden, a girl who struggles to maintain a normal life while hiding a dark secret.

#TonightTonight I'm reading this, trying to relax before my library's royal tea party tomorrow morning... I know. I didn't even try. 😥

Pickpick

I'm not telling you to go read this book but I just read it in 4 hours so do what you will...

Edited to add: there was a distinct lack of character development but I think it was purposely done. Still, I won't use the word enjoyed in reference to this book but it is extremely compelling. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bklover I read this one in one sitting too! Good one. 7y
Cinfhen The adults in this book were sooooo clueless, that pissed me off! But I did read it in one sitting as well🌻 7y
EchoLogical @Bklover So good! I'm glad there wasn't the opportunity to really get attached to characters because I'd probably still be crying. 7y
EchoLogical @Cinfhen I always think the same thing about almost all books with child protagonists but tell myself that if they knew what was going on, there probably wouldn't be a story. 😅 7y
Cinfhen Haha that's sad but true! 7y
