I finally got this book on interlibrary loan. It is a short book full of well written advice. Art does matter. I also included a pic of my favorite painting - Starry Night. What‘s your favorite painting?

marleed We‘ve had a large print of that painting in my home for years. Everyone likes it for a different reason. We call affectionately call her Bullet Breast. She looks like she could be Evelyn Hugo in the TJR book! 6y

Leniverse Starry Night is one of my absolute favourites too. As a child I was a bit obsessed with Kittelsen (he painted a lot of fairy tale scenes) and had a poster of his Water Sprite on my bedroom wall. I still enjoy his paintings, like "Nøkken" and "Troll wonders how old he is". 6y

Leniverse And I have recently "discovered" Artemisa Gentileschi. She was one awesome woman and I love her paintings of women breastfeeding, bleeding nipples and all. Not to mention her revenge painting, "Judith Slaying Holofernes", where she painted herself as Judith and her rapist (who literally got away with murder because he was famous) as Holofernes. 6y

alisiakae A Gaiman book I haven't heard of, it sounds good! My favorite painting is one of Frida Kahlo's self-portraits with monkeys. 6y

jb72 @Clwojick I probably would too. One of my high school teachers (French I believe) had that hanging in the classroom and I stared at it all the time along with Escher‘s Staircase. 6y
