Action packed! With some sorely needed exposition and character development with an invigorating cliffhanger. Looking forward to getting the next in the series from my library!

Definitely more plot than character development, though we do get a few new characters I want to see more of, in this entry, but whether I was in the right mood or the pacing just worked better, I had fun with the adventure and didn't mind that the ending is once again 'to be continued' for this arc.

Not sure I can really say anything new about filler installments in this series unless they start to wow me again. I like the last one more than this one, hopefully I like the next one better. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Shows I‘ve watched with my kiddos lately. Hoping to snag more when we aren‘t running around so much. #WinterGames #GingerbreadGems

Another one for the nephew as he liked the first one. I thought this was just as fun as book one. I really enjoyed the side story with Shark and Legs.

I also read the two Disney books but will skip reviews. The Wild Robot #3 is on my TBR.

Adorable

Bookzombie Agree. I just read the second one because it‘s part of my nephew‘s Christmas gift and enjoyed it. 5mo

Dammit, I still CARE! Definitely still too plot heavy versus heartfelt moments and shenanigans, but there were snorts of laughter and a hopeful moment I'd been waiting for so, yes, I will be continuing to read every ridiculous book in this series. 🤷🏼‍♂️

TheBookHippie 😂 I read these daily with my little readers ( students) … they love them and I love hearing them read them aloud. 5mo
Robotswithpersonality @TheBookHippie that sounds so fun! 5mo

At least the text is self-aware about the fact that it's getting convoluted. This is definitely a bridging book hopefully on that route to a satisfying end to this particular arc in the series. I'm hanging in there, but I do miss the simpler stories (with a smaller cast of characters) from earlier in the series.

CBee I agree. My son loves these and we‘ve read them all, but it starts getting crazy and all over the place! It‘s too much, to be honest - I can‘t keep up 😂😂 5mo
