pickI‘m shocked at just how much of this book I didn‘t remember. It was so powerful, and I remembered that. It was life altering, and I remember that. I remembered two tiny details of the actual story and that was it. I‘m so glad I read this again, and I‘m planning to listen to the audiobook over the weekend. Once is just not enough with this book.

I don‘t remember this part of this book at all. I remember the day he lied and said he was older, and it saved his life. I remember the day he saw another child hanged and that instead of rope they used clothes line to make them suffer longer. I don‘t remember this innocent child at the beginning.
