A long time ago I managed charitable sponsorships for the company where I worked. One of them was a rescue fund for a highly endangered native bird - the flightless Takahe. We ran a short story competition which resulted in this book - and I did a book launch event. We also paid for a Braille version to be made as the author worked with a sight compromised child. Giving him the book is such a special memory 💕

This is a play on words from a beloved childhood book though Why anyone thought this would be a lovely children‘s story is beyond me. So very sad. #birdsofparadise #winterwonderland
