Cinfhen Never seen the films or read the books. Not sure if I even want to?!?! 4y
TrishB @Cinfhen you won‘t like the books! The films are brain candy, I enjoyed them as ok, they‘re not winning Oscars. 4y
Cinfhen I know lots of adults went gaga for the Vampires 🧛‍♂️ but I‘ve always thought this would be too YA for me @TrishB I‘m happy to be in the #PassCamp 4y
TrishB @Cinfhen I read/watched with C as she was mad on it all! I was entertained by the films but the books were not for me! (Or you!) 4y
CrowCAH Still one of the movies that when I watched it again I had the same first feeling! 4y

I'm not done with my current book but want to be prepared for my next one. I can't really decide though so I thought I'd turn to you guys 😁.

The next challenge is a book that was made into a movie we've seen. There's just so many to choose from. I'd love to hear any recommendations. Must be a book that was made into a movie and has already been released. Thanks in advance!

melyndarae @shadowspeak17 I didn't know that it was based on anything. Awesome! And I'm trying not to let myself read books I've read before lol. So no Harry Potter for now. Thank you! 6y
KrystleTheBookSlayer Misery, Jurassic Park, The Princess Bride, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. 6y
melyndarae @shadowspeak17 Wow! Thank you so much! I've seen shutter island so I'll add that. I read lord of the flies in school. The others I haven't seen the movies. 6y
melyndarae @Krystle1 Oooo I always forget Jurassic Park is a book. The princess bride too. I'll add them too. 6y

melyndarae @Krystle1 I love the Jurassic Park movies. I've been telling my husband we need to do a marathon. I can't wait for the next Jurassic World. 6y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @melyndarae oh my!!!! You HAVE to!!! 6y
melyndarae @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Ok, I'll add it to my movie list. 6y
RainyDayReading The movie IMO is better than the book, but the book is beautifully written and almost lyrical at times. Both the book and movie are good in different ways. 6y
melyndarae @RainyDayReading Wow, another I didn't realize was a book. I'll add it to the list to choose from. Thanks! 6y
melyndarae @Krystle1 I decided on Jurassic Park. But borrowed the ebook for that and The Princess Bride lol. 6y

I randomly came across this at the library and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, I am a Twilight fan but I'm not obsessed. But this book will really make you appreciate how much work goes into making a movie. I also like the fact that the director is very into details. I think that is very important when turning a book into a movie. I definitely learned some things that I will be looking for next time I watch it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#Twilight 🎬🎟🎭

MrBook Great review! 7y

This story affirms my sense that children are often stronger, braver and more resilient than the adults in their lives. Perhaps it is because she hasn't lived long enough to be lose faith, and hope is the gift of the young. Regardless, this story introduced me to a world I did not know, which the best reason to read. Thumbs up for more stories featuring young heroines. #bookbingonw2017 #booksmadeintomovies

Lonesome Dove: A Novel | Larry McMurtry

Technically this is a TV miniseries but I'm going with it anyway. I watched this when I was a child and fell in love with Augustus McCrae, played by Robert Duvall. As an adult, I read the book and I still loved Gus. ☺️ The characters in Lonesome Dove are compelling and the journey they are set on is sweeping. Lonesome Dove is one of my all-time-favorite books. TheNextBook I've been looking for this to watch! I read this book as an addition to my #readingthrough30 It was amazing! Where is the series available?! 8y
Bookzombie @TheNextBook I'm so glad you enjoyed the book too! I searched online. It looks like you can buy this on Amazon in several ways, but it's not streaming on anything else that I can see. 😕 I'm not sure where you are located , but maybe try the library for a DVD copy. I hope you find it. 8y

Austenland: A Novel | Shannon Hale

A book inspired by another book and both have been made into movies + a couple other classics written by women made into movies. It's probably cheating using Jane Austen but both the movies and books are so good! #booksmadeintomovies #somethingforsept
