Grace and Box is one of my favorite picture books, encouraging imaginative play! So fun to hear and meet Kim Howard at the Indiana Library Federation Youth Services Conference yesterday. ❤️
“They turned old cardboard into things like bags and books and blocks, and I become a brand new, sturdy, handy… cardboard box!”
I think this book is a bit too short but it‘s still a cute representation of the recycling process. I think that kids do wonder what happens to the stuff they use after they‘re done with it and I think this story gives them a small answer to their questions.
This book is short but a great book to introduce kids to the importance of recycling. I‘m sure all kids have wondered what happens before they get boxes and after they‘re done with them. Although this book is told from the POV of a box it‘s still an important starting book for all kids.
A friend recently bought me three of these cardboard book stands, and I put them together today. Here‘s a portion of my Sci-Fi/Fantasy TBR shelf, now more easily viewable! It frustrates me that they‘re not wider—I have to be a little flexible with my alphabetical order to make it work—but even so, I think I‘m gonna pick up some more and use them for several of my taller shelves.
On my way to the book store and some of the Little Free Libraries for @mamareading birthday! I‘m exited to get more books for my TBR!!!
Thank you so very much @DinoMom and @ShelleyBooksie for these beautiful gifts of thanks. I wish I could have done more for this swap as its so suiting. Hopefully there will be another some time.
