Don't Look Back: Hawaiian Myths Made New | Alan Brennert, Robert Barclay, A. A. Attanasio, Christine Thomas, Timothy Dyke, J. Freen

My husband is Hawaiian and our trip to Hawai‘i was important for us as we wanted to our daughter to have the same cultural education as her cousins have. In order to do this I spoke at length with his family and also perused his grandmothers library and came across a book on my TBR. Just started it but I‘m already loving it and this is so far the best story I‘ve come across.

Texreader We‘ve tried to do the same for our kids since my husband is from Norway. They‘ve been several times and this year we are visiting his birth city for the first time. Terrific thing you are doing for the kids. 5y

OrangeMooseReads I didn‘t like the movie as much as the book(s) (I read them when they first came out and you had to wait a month in between each installment) 6y

Mehso-so

A #brutal #murder occurred in a crowded residential suburb on the outskirts of #Tokyo, and 4 teenage girls somehow got themselves involved with the #killer. A so-so read. It was suspenseful in the beginning but it got monotonous after that.
