It is storming this morning. Thunderstorms scare my dogs so I have been comforting them with cuddles. I have tried thunder shirts to no avail. They are finally dying down and I can get on with things. My plans are to get a bit of housework done this morning. Lunch with my bestie, which will certainly involve alcohol. Afterward, I hope to have some time to myself later in the afternoon.

ElizaMarie Love your lunch plans!!! I'm still sitting in bed with a coffee and a Frenchie sleeping in my lap (our new puppy is great when he is sleeping). Storming out here too. I haven't decided what I'm doing today. Husband has to attend graduation (for work). 3d

Elizabeth2 Enjoy your lunch! Sounds like a perfect date! 😁🥂 One of my dogs is terrified of storms, and she suffers seizures when stressed so we try to do all we can to keep her calm. Sitting and cuddling with the TV on and turned up kinda loud to something more soothing - no explosions, or playing calming music but kind of loud to drown out the thunder and wind. I try to just relax. Dogs read our own moods, so if I am calm, it helps keep her calm. 💕 3d
Elizabeth2 During 4th of July fireworks, I play patriotic music loud to drown out the booms, and I sit and read a book. There are enough of those types of sounds in the patriotic music that she can‘t tell the difference. And she sees me reading, which is a normal activity around here. 😂 She goes right to sleep. 3d
