Shopping. 🛍️ New plants. 🌱 Our day‘s plan had to be altered. 😞 Finally picked up the tagged book at the library. 📚 Tried a new (to us) pizza place downtown. It is Neapolitan, which is crazy because I just this week learned about pizza from Naples. It is pretty tasty. 🍕 My youngest has a birthday tomorrow 🎂 so I should go buy the pancake mix. 🥞 And a speech. I am supposed to write a speech for Monday. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Yes, I started out with coffee. Rare for me. I'm off to a presentation from the Master Food Preserver newbies teaching what they have learned through their training. Then to a high school graduation party after that. Busy day.

Just survived a walk with the pups in 96ºF weather. (36ºC). 🥵 Now we're ensconced inside our air-conditioned den. I cleaned the house yesterday so that I could laze over the weekend. So far, it looks like a good plan.

Tagged by @kspenmoll -- Low-key, minimal-movement weekend recovering from knee & ankle sprains. (Thanks, dog who cannot resist chasing chasables and thanks slimy rain-and-runoff-collecting sidewalk, couldn't have done it without both of you.) I had to go out earlier for some necessary shopping and haircut, but now back home with my leg up and a café con leche in reach. Thinking I might read a book. @AllDebooks #Chatterday2025

Today is grocery shopping, running a mock 5k to see how my new training plan is working (aside from me gaining 5 pounds, which makes no sense but always happens when I add miles), and hopefully applying to a couple of interesting jobs. Oh, and getting my June library holds set up for our travels.

I am getting some housework in before I head to the barn. Spicy got a Chiropractic adjustment yesterday. If she is not too Spicy, I plan to ride for a few minutes. The doctor said only for 5 minutes and at a walk only. So maybe two laps around the arena will be all I do. I'll probably have a late lunch with my barn friends.

I am hosting a couple friends tonight before we go see the father of my bestie be inducted into the NB Sports Hall of Fame. This is an impromptu pre-event event, so I guess I will spend the day cleaning and making some nibbles to eat before we head out. If I am lucky, I will get some reading done.
On another note: only one more week of actual teaching before exams…so 🎉
