In 'A Dance of Lies,' Vaseline was framed for a murder and imprisoned for two years. She is released by the king who framed her if she will be his spy. Vasalie suffers from chronic pain from her imprisonment. Having a MC with a disability was refreshing. As she gets further into the political intrigue, she must decide who to trust. I really enjoyed Arena's writing style and might continue the series. 4 stars.

when it‘s a hot day and you find a puddle 🤦🏼♀️
anyway, just started a new fantasy audiobook—i‘ve only seen raving reviews 🤞🏻

What a cool book! It‘s equal parts biography/memoir, scrapbook and art journal and tells the story of Doris Eaton, who started in show business very young with her siblings and went on to live a long and fascinating life! At the time this was written she was 102 and she passed away in 2010 at the age of 106. Highly recommended to anyone interested in history, the theater and Old Hollywood. 5⭐️

Romance with a plot and horrible back stories
Both main characters lost so much, both a bit broken, Judah may never recover, but are the perfect cure for each other‘s misery, leading to a great HEA. There‘s threat to life, misery and grief, angst, homophobia, bullying, unpleasant family dynamics. This balanced by lust, love, eventual proper communication and a satisfying outcome for many. All due to a cruel condition I‘d never heard of.

#CincodeMayo also called Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, is a holiday celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States..it is celebrated with parades, music, folk dancing, speeches, and reenactments of the 1862 battle.
Tagged book tells the story of Amalia Hernández, a great Mexican dancer, her life, and of the rich history of dance in Mexico.

#TarotTakeover Day 3: The Empress
The Archeon Tarot style of historic Blood Memory, really suits well with Martha Graham. Mythologies through creative dance, and strong feminine spirits. 💃 Also thinking of Gabrielle Roth, as a favourite inspiration for spiritual dance.

Sticking with my resolution to buy and give more books... Duncan Tonatiuh‘s work is uh-maze-ing, so when I met him I asked him to sign books for little ones I hold dear. #picturebooks

Eek! Annoying home repair issues have me late posting #TuesdayTidbits!
1) A Tale of Two Cities, although I have promised myself I will give it another try eventually
2) Babyel cheese, I eat way too much of it
3) I love Trevor Noah with my whole heart, but since he has already gotten so much love today, I‘ll go with Martha Graham‘s autobiography. Even if you aren‘t a dancer, it‘s a fantastic read
4) It‘s so late, I tag anyone who wants to join in!
