I'm super late posting my August #bookspinbingo card because life just keeps getting in the way! Honestly, this summer (and last month in particular) have been so rough, I'm just trying to make it through another day. My reading definitely feels broken -- not because my numbers are down, but because I'm not finding joy or escape from reading right now, and I hate that! 😞

I am very ready for the heatwaves to end, and autumn to begin! Hoping to bring the cooler weather with the background 🤣

It was a good reading month. And while I was close to a line, I didn‘t quite make one 🤣

Here‘s my September #bookspinbingo board. I chose a Fall background because I‘m ready for Fall. The weather here in Southeast Texas is still hot but I‘m ready for the weather to cool down over here. It‘s probably going to take awhile for the weather to cool down over here as usual because I‘m too far south.

I hit my reading goal of 150 books! August was a fun month. I dove back into NetGalley and finally read books borrowed from friends that had been hanging out in my book mountains. I completed (and enjoyed) both my #bookspin and #doublespin selections. Wins all around. #bookspinbingo

Before I dump this August board, I wanted to note I got one bingo and came dangerously close to another, even in a month where I read very little. @TheAromaofBooks

And here we go! I was really looking forward to this, so it's nice to get started.

I need to pick books with more interesting colour palettes... I usually take either the #BookSpin or #DoubleSpin for the colour palette, but the BookSpin's colours are very much like last month's card, and I don't really like the colours from the DoubleSpin. Oh well!

I have read one of the books already, yesterday, so I'm also off to a good start.

I'm using the two list method this month, for extra flexibility and also to hopefully keep my board tidier. 😁 Last month's was a mess of extra books in the margins.

Here‘s my August #bookspinbingo board.

Here‘s how I did on my August #bookspinbingo picks. They were just mood reading prompts. I didn‘t have time to mood read this month so I didn‘t pick any books for these prompts.

Here‘s how I did on my August #bookspinbingo list. I finished reading Sherlock Holmes for the #noplacelikeholmes buddy read, read the Agatha Christie book I needed to read for the #christiescapers buddy read. I had 7 digital ARCs on my list this month and I read 5 of them.

OMG, how is it September? I‘m travelling most of the month so don‘t imagine I‘ll get much reading done - #bookspin or otherwise. Oh well!

In August, I finished 12 books and got two bingos. I finished my #BookSpin and #doubleSpin picks also. My favorites were Zeal, The Other Side of Now, and A Lesson in Malice. Our #ChrisitiesCapers book,The Big Four, was a big disappointment, but otherwise it was a good reading month!

A pretty good reading month in August! Got a couple of bingos!
