Rereading this book for the Italian Book Club I organized on #Duolingo - it‘s turning out to be a good pick! It‘s fun, but still very relevant, with lots of interesting things to talk about. Lakhous does a great job creating his characters.

GingerAntics @BiblioLitten sadly, no. It‘s a lifelong dream, I think my mother would like her ashes scattered there (at least partially), and I‘ve actually looked into PhD programs there (and in Scotland). I fully intend to get there one day. 6y

readinginthedark My cousin fell in love with Ireland in college and now teaches Irish and creative writing and writes poetry in Irish. I don't understand any of it, but it's a beautiful language. 6y

rockpools @tricours Let's just say it's not a language I'm taking to naturally, and the words aren't sticking! Νερό and πορτοκάλι seem to be safe, but as I'm still muddling cheese/wine/rice and fish, anything else could be interesting! 7y
