Enjoy!
Very happy with these Salvo purchases from last term. Some good brands.
Characters were relatable! I felt and rooted for them.
This was a cute story about tolerance.
Some nice descriptions of food, clothing, and Parisienne life, but it felt very rushed and predictable at the end, and I ultimately didn‘t care very much about the characters.
Book 3 down for my #GNReadathon and it‘s a good one! This graphic novel is brimming with cheese & cheese puns. It‘s a sapphic story about “Count” Camembert who is really a girl but has to dress as a boy because girls can‘t inherit their father‘s fortune. She falls in love with Princess Brie & is pals with Lady Gorgonzola & Lady Ricotta. 😁 The artwork is great & it‘s a story about friendship, love, gender & acceptance. And. So. Much. Cheese! 🧀5⭐️
This was such a gorgeous book!
This book explores Palace Costume, a costume rental house that specializes in vintage clothes. The first part featured interviews with the founder and numerous costume designers. The interviews were very insightful and were a fun way to tell the history of the Palace Costume. The rest of the book showed pictures of the clothes.

While parts of this nonfiction dragged a little bit for me, this is a remarkable look at the age of fashion and stores in NYC in the 20th century and a few of the women who led department stores and specialty shops. It makes me feel a bit nostalgic for the department store of yesteryear—I vaguely remember places in the 1980s that closely resemble the stores described in this book. A fun, informative read.
