I‘ve been trying to figure out a good favorite character name for #readingresolutions today. I was gonna go with a classic Dickens (because he really does have fantastic character names). And then I remembered the Thursday Next series... and Jack Schitt... and my decision was made. 😂🤣 #favcharactername

Charley (Charlotte Jean) Davidson. There's plenty names in this series. P.I. & Grim Reaper, Charley (aka Dutch, Charles, a really long celestial name I can't remember...) has a penchant for naming things--like her Jeep "Misery," & her breasts "Danger & Will Robinson" (Hey, if you are going to name body parts-it's much better than "Ralph!")?Sometimes her jokes & naming are a bit much, but it makes me laugh.
Elphaba Thropp. (Derived from L. F. B.)
Read the book many years ago. Saw the musical when it first came to Milwaukee in 2010. Loved both. The book was much darker (which I like - it‘s a theme for me). Now I have to reread it 🙄. The musical was for those wanting to get a HEA feeling. In both cases we are talking about The Wicked Witch of the West, so HEA is a relative term here.

In The Gracekeepers there is a character named Callanish and I think that might be my #favcharactername. I love the way it rolls on my tongue and it makes me think of weird, wonderful and magical places ✨

I‘m cheating with this slightly, as my fave character name is Hadley, Ernest Hemingway‘s first wife. However, I came across the name in the fictionalised account of their time in Paris, so I‘m sneaking this one in. 🤗
I love the name so much our puppy is called Hadley.
