My #FaveJaneAusten - I haven't read them all, but I loved P&P. I actually first encountered it through this podcast, CraftLit, years ago. I think it was the first full-length novel Heather did and I loved listening to it with her guidance, explaining the historical setting and adding so much to the experience. I keep meaning to catch up on CraftLit, maybe in 2017! #seasonsreadings2016 #classic #classics

#seasonsreadings2016 #day16 #FaveJaneAusten/adaptation #catchup Of course it's Pride and Prejudice and the Colin Firth/BBC adaptation. Colin Firth wins every time, hands down! 🙌🏼

It's difficult for me to pick a favorite Jane Austen, but Anne Elliot is the Austen heroine I relate to the most (unless I'm in a sarcastic Lizzy Bennet mood). And the 2007 BBC adaptation is my favorite adaptation of Persuasion! #faveJaneAusten #faveJaneAustenAdaptation #seasonsreadings2016

Does an adaptation of an adaptation count? How about if it's Cumberbatch as Firth as Darcy? Yeah, pretty sure that counts.

Day16 #SeasonsReadings2016 #favejaneausten I've posted about my❤️for Jane Austen & Pride and Prejudice & shown my books & movies a bunch on Litsy. I reread the original annually & have MANY adaptations on my Kindle-some good, some not. My latest love is P&P on audio. The Alison Larkin narrated one w/Regency songs is fun but my new fave is Rosamund Pike's narration-she does a great job w/the voices. Here's some of my faves. BBC/Colin Firth always!!

BethFishReads Colin Firth rules. And that's my fav audio too 8y

Obviously, this is the best film/TV adaptation of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Don't argue with me, you know I'm right. It's got the best casting, best script, best acting, the best costumes, the best music. Nuff said. I rewatch this BBC version pretty much every time I'm home sick. For some reason I no longer have a copy of the book, which I must have worn out. I should rectify that. #SeasonsReadings2016 #FaveJaneAusten #FaveJaneAustenAdaptations

#seasonsreadings2016 day 16: #favejaneausten
I will always have a soft spot for the first Jane Austen work I ever read, introduced by my English lit teacher in Singapore when I was 17. Thinking back, he would have fit perfectly into Austen's book as he was a kindly old white-bearded Englishman. Luckily he had the foresight to arrange a viewing of the BBC adaptation starring Colin Firth and that cemented my love for this classic!

Dragon Love that BBC version 😀 8y
Caryl I also first read this one at age 17! I was totally with Elizabeth & her opinions, all the way through. I'm glad I read it before knowing the story. 8y
